Happy Valley — Local services in Bromsgrove

Usually order from here and food has always been great, not last night. All food was cold for the four of us despite being in foil containers. Chow mein was just beef and noodles, nothing else, usually has peppers/onions. My husband unusually took the step and rang them, not wanting a refund but to state that the food was below par. He got shouted at by the Chinese lady, think her name was Doris, she said that we had left the food too long in the car (it's only a 10 minute journey home) and she actually said to him she didn't believe him. He very calmly throughout had to ask her not to shout. All other staff members were English so not sure if they have been taken over or under staffed but something wasn't right last night. Apprehensive now about going again especially given...

Really poor service from the girl on the counter. Ordered my food and was advised it would be half an hour. After waiting an hour i was then asked what name i had ordered it under. After checking where my food was i was then asked if i definitely ordered under the name i had given which i obviously had as i had paid under this name. I then waited a further 5 minutes to be told they couldn't find my order. I asked how long it would take if they start it now and was advised "I Don't know" so i ended up getting my money back. I can't comment on the food as i never got to try it.I went to Alvechurch Chinese instead as it was a 20 minute wait, cheaper and absolutely gorgeous food. Avoid unless you want a long wait...

Have ordered from happy valley for the last few years and usually big orders for the local sports club and this evening only ordered for 4 people and the 1/4 duck pancakes were missing, we rang the shop and the boy on the phone expressed we had only ordered the pancakes however had paid over £10 for these. We then went into the takeaway and the staff told us that we were wrong and the duck was in the bag and it was our word against there’s.

Honestly the customer service this evening was shocking and to be charged over £10 for something we haven’t received is annoying and has made loyal customers shop elsewhere...
