Didn’t even make it in the store because of the “security” woman outside.
Asks me to move my car just as I pull up, engine still running. I could see her gearing up to jump on my partner and I the second we stopped the car.
I declined to move the car because it would have made little to no difference. I pointed out that different cars are different widths so any suv or similar size vehicle would be too wide to allow another car to park beside it.
She wasn’t having it though and this time told me to move the car. She would NOT drop it and I ended up asking if I was legally obliged to move it (she’s security not police and I was breaking no laws where the car was parked…in a space).
She didn’t like not getting her own way so said I was being aggressive??? While I’m stood calmly resting my elbow on my car roof with the door open.
SHE was the only one being confrontational and aggressive by widening her stance and balling her hands up.
In fact she was stood in front of the doors blocking people from coming out the store.
She then said I’m now not allowed in the store and if I get food at the place next to it she would “follow me around”…bit creepy.
Also, if she’s busy following me around, there would be no one to police the parking! Not to mention no security for the store. Didn’t think that one through did you??
Ultimately I decided to leave and check out other reviews only to find…what do you know….another review saying the exact same thing!
This person is a narcissist and thinks they have power to tell people what to do.
Unfortunately for her I wasn’t going to simply “do what I was told”, and acquiesce to her demands.
Sack this person immediately before anyone else has to post a review and the store...
Read moreRude security with poor appearance as soon as my partner pulled up. She demanded we moved how she wanted to, baring in mind the car’s width and having big doors. She wouldn’t drop it, also asked me first…the passenger (how can I move it). She didn’t stop, her body language read aggressive and cocky. She said she asked once, clearly she didn’t. Maybe she has poor memory or just isn’t smart with her words. But several times, it wasn’t once. Not sure why I have to state that, but some people are not so intelligent. She clearly at the end became nervous and anxious, well stop being awful and thinking you can be so damn assertive. She does security, but I hardly doubt she’s any good at it. She seemed to only have a mouth of attitude, but nothing much else. She was scruffy. Her stance at the start was a move to appear confident, dominant and to show that she has authority (which she clearly thinks she has a whole lot). She then said she wouldn’t let us in. And would follow us around the food area (nothing to do with Holland Cooper) and wouldn’t let us eat anything. So who is securing the store? (No one if she did that). Also, that is harassment and stalking. I don’t think she knows what her job fully entail's. All because she wanted to be rude and demanding of someone, who basically said no my car is wide and there’s nothing wrong with being parked here, and she...
Read moreDon't be wooed by the nice designs. Poor quality, overpriced products, and diabolical after service when we discovered faults on an expensive garment. Oh and you should be aware that this brand which boats it is "Quintessentially British", seems to now have most (if not all) of their products made abroad.
We discovered the Holland Cooper brand and love the designs they sell. We spent quite a bit on our first visit and were looked after well. Later we discovered faults on a wool jumper, but all our efforts to contact by phone, voicemail, various email addresses, website, facebook and even linked-in, were ignored. This is an issue that way too many people have complained about - check out facebook, trustpilot, google reviews and you'll see.
Only when we threatened trading standards and legal action did we receive a response - which offered to resolve the issue by inviting us back in to spend some more money via a 'personalised shopping experience'! Eventually got a refund though I had to pay to return the item, and spent literally hours dealing with this, for what should have taken 10mins.
Sick of some companies thinking it's ok to ignore problems that need dealing with. You did the difficult bit by gaining us as a customer. But once again, as many have reported, you failed at the easy bit and have now lost us as a...
