This is somewhere I will never go again! First of all the lady at the desk never told us how to get in when I was stood on the other side of the gate (because the entrance gate was broken people were going in and out of the exit but the buzzer was high up on the opposite side so you can't see it.) Then I ordered food on the app I entered the table number from on the table and ordered fine. Then after a while a waitress came into the play area and said has anybody ordered this meal, I said yes and that I'd put the table number on the booking. She said oh we don't use that number we use a different one but your table hasn't got one and we've been looking for who's ordered this food, also did you order the kids carvery? I said yes and took my plate off her. So we waited for the kids carvery to arrive while my food was going cold, so I asked if the lady at the desk if it was coming and only then she explained you have to go into the main restaurant and choose what you want. So we had to leave my food and collect my son's meal. Then as we were eating a waitress dropped someone's garlic bread on my foot as she was going past, and just picked it up and never apologised. It was freezing cold! There was only one ladies toilet and they absolutely stunk and looked like they were painted 20 years ago with black mold in the corner of the room. We were there for another 45 minutes and got in the car and left before realising they never brought my son's ice cream that...
Read moreWent to Wacky warehouse in Congleton yesterday with my son and sadly we had a very poor experience. I noticed it says on the sign adults are not allowed in the over 5's area. However, I asked if I could go in to supervise my son- I was told no which I initially accepted. Though there were then a number of adults who went in with their children who were younger than 5. I then asked on this basis if me and my son, could both go in. I was told those adults shouldn't be in there, but nobody prompted them to leave the area. My son was very upset about not being able to go in there like the other children and their parents.
The play equipment was unclean; there was a half eaten corn of the cob down the side of the main play area and a clump of hair in the toddler ballpit that my son found, as well as sticky sweet residue on the floor. The toilets were also not very clean. We have previously been to other play centres and have been pleased with the cleanliness of the centres so this was an unfortunate experience. I will not be returning or...
Read moreNot a pleasant experience! The place wasn't clean, my granddaughter asked what was the black on the chairs, it was chipped paint. Had to ask the only attendant to mop an area of juice spilt on the floor. My husband asked for coffee but no hot water, a cold coffee was offered instead. Little supervision of children who 'controlled' the play area. The whole place was in need of refurbishment. It's a child's play area yet the toilets don't have a step stool or small toilet seat for kids. To be fair the attendant was doing her best on her own. What a contrast to Macclesfield Wacky Warehouse with trampoline option. A waste of money. We stayed half an hour which...
