Dunelm — Local services in Coventry

If you look at the reviews for all local Dunelm stores this is the lowest rated store in the West Midlands Renit. The store is always empty. The way it’s laid out is poorly done and feels more like a jumble sale, and it’s cramped. The staff all look miserable and the customer service is dreadful. This seems to be the overall theme on this particular stores reviews. They all need customer service training, including the passive aggressive over promoted store Manager, who will do all she can to make your issue worse instead of trying to help. No wonder staff are so unhappy when they have a person like that leading them (leading is a strong word) . This store is a very poor representation of Dunelm which is a shame as their products are great, but every time we visit this store we don’t buy anything and leave feeling all happiness has been sucked out of our souls! I love dunelms products, good prices and good quality. However ... trying to get a wheelchair around this shop is near impossible. The shop was a mess, untidy and things all over the place. It needs more structure as to where customers can find what they are looking for. There were parts of the shop that the wheelchair couldn't even get down so therefore potential lost sales because of this. Parts of the shop looked like a jumble sale. We then went for some cake and tea at the coffee shop, it was filthy. Dirty tables and mess on the floors. Members of staff stood behind counter chatting whilst customers trying to find a clean table, it wasnt busy at all so one member of staff should have cleaned the tables. I went into Dunelm Bagington Coventry yesterday, Sunday 27th October 19. I was buying a set of bathroom drawers but could not see the ones I wanted on the shop floor. Shop worker Kyreke came to my assistant. He said he would check upstairs for a set for me, particularly when a lady who appeared to be working in that department was negative about this as she said they are likely not there. Kyreke found them but the condition was not so good. He went back upstairs and brought another set more suitable and better condition. He took them to the till for me and the young man who served me carried them to my car. Thank you Kyreke, you are a star and I do hope Dunelm commends your work ethic and customer assistance.
