Wacky Warehouse is a regular stop for us and our two year old, who always has as fantastic time.
Unlike many soft play places, our son can navigate pretty much the entire thing on his own, although we do go with him to supervise everywhere except the ground floor, and only let him go up higher if it's not too busy. There are a couple of places which are a bit of a tight squeeze for an adult, but it's still possible to get through.
Some of the older kids can be a little "enthusiastic", but it's a play area, they're just having fun, and we simply ask them to be careful around our little'un, which they've always done.
The food's good, with plenty of choice for kids, including a pick & mix menu that includes some good healthy and non-meat options, and the main menu includes two-for-one burgers on a Friday when we tend to go, with different deals on other nights of the week. It can all be ordered, along with your drinks, without needing to go into the main bar area (where there can often be quite long queues) and generally arrives quickly, although they'll warn you in advance if that's not going to be the case.
The staff are all lovely, friendly, and super helpful. They'll regularly check with you that everything's OK, and not just with your food.

Regrettably today is bad..came for just one pint whilst hubby shopped across at Tesco...yup...your right...hubby does the shopping!! I got in the pub without fuss..but the dreaded check in desk has been resurrected.....you know the airport variety...stuck there....most of the time it is just stuck there...no one uses it...no staff use it...but you are supposed to use it because there is a notice on it...fgs it is a big pub n I just want a sneaky pint.
Hubby comes in to check I'm ok on my own....and is accosted by the 'manager' ..then accused of being 'abrupt' when he declined the table offered...it then descended in a youngster giving me a lecture about the check in desk......I am a professional of 30 + years in QS ..just oh dear...what is wrong with..there has been a misunderstanding...hubby has just been in hospital ..not the quiet moment with a San Miguel that i was...
Read moreWell what we have here is another hungry horse pub, can't fault the food and not long to wait for it either, very nice decore and waitress was very friendly and helpful, plenty of room in the car park even though it was busy also plenty of room in the pub aswell, my only moan was that my 9yr old wanted to play in the fun house which was ok with me until they asked for £3.50p, my reason for moaning was I've visited lot's of hungry horse pubs around the country and haven't ever had to pay to play? Plus the food was more expensive than other hungry horse pubs in the area, i always get a downer from that even though we enjoy the food, if you get a McDonald's in Scunthorpe and then one in Doncaster there the same price, for that...
