Blue Ocean fish and Chips takeaway is a good chippy and it's tucked in along side what used to be the co-op on Convamore road in Grimsby to the rear of the parking lot. The food is of good quality and the menu quite extensive. Today I had a lovely large fresh fillet of haddock with crispy chips and a piece of cods roe ,I had it open so served on a tray,at a cost of under £4.00.Great quality food at a very reasonable prices,they also have a larger sized fish and the price of this is also good.Only Haddock, Scampi,Cod roe and Fish cakes available in the seafood department,lots of non seafood choices and they also serve a reasonable choice of children's meals. The shop's nice and clean the staff are very friendly and helpful. A little gem hidden away,well worth seeking out, if like me you love good quality food or maybe if you're feeding the 5000! Recommended. I've had meals from here quite a few times over the last few months and always found the quality of the fish excellent.The fish is also skinless here. The shop has good wheelchair access and there's plenty of parking space in the front of the shopping area.For those who are interested they fry in vegetable oil here. First time trying this little takeaway after a couple of friends recommended it. I wasn't disappointed! Tucked away on a small/empty retail area on Convamore Road/Victor Street. . What a shame the other shops are closed and vacant and don't bring in more passing trade. The food was delicious, cooked freshly and still hot by the time I got to eat it at work for lunch. We ordered skinless and lightly battered fish and the owner gladly delivered what we asked for. The fish and chip special is more than adequate for those with a smaller appetite. £4 for haddock and chips... When I walked in the door I thought I was getting a child's portion but I was very wrong, value for money is an understatement! Amazing service, fish is perfectly cooked, chips were spot on, I can't reccomended this shop enough.
