I ordered a large bacon bun to takeaway today, I received a soft fresh white floured bun with three slices of bacon which was good value for the price of £2.70. Update December 2021. Open as usual today, when most other cafes in the area were closed, I ate in today and opted for a large size breakfast and a mug of tea, it arrived after a short wait and comprised of two rashers of bacon, two eggs, two sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes and two slices of buttered toast. The food was good as were the portion sizes, the service was very friendly and prompt. 👍 It's a nice clean, warm and comfortable place place to eat. Read moreI got the Christmas lunch special for delivery.... It was 30 mins late which did suck a little but wasn't the end if the world. The veg soup starter was yummy with some bread and butter. The main, i chose turkey... It was tastey but only veg were carrots and cabbage. Granted there was alot of them but i like a variety usually. Frozen roasties and yorkies but not bad, mash tasted fresh. Meat was also nice. Bit disappointed there wasn't any sprouts or pigs in blankets (saying it was a Christmas lunch special) the pudding was very nice i chose bread and butter pudding, the portions were massive too. The thing that really put it down for me was the "ice cream milkshakes"... I ordered the unicorn ice cream milkshake with sprinkles... It was definitely not ice cream based... Just milk and did not taste like all the flavours it stated. Pretty much a powder based milkshake with no sprinkles etc. All in all it was nice just a little...
Read moreI normally ordered from this cafe and never had issues. However, on this occasion I had waited nearly 2 hours and rang and mentioned about cancelling as I was not going to be at work much longer and was told I would not get a refund due to them already have cooked the food and sent it. I rang back up and was told they would make me a fresh batch and send out but refused as I had previously mentioned I was not going to be there much longer. Didn't offer a refund even if it was just for the food. Not impressed as I had waited so long for the food to come cold. Will not be a returning customer as I mentioned...
