Had money on club card Was told I couldn’t use it they only keep their books for a year at Cleland shop. Bit miffed 2 be honest would have been as well flinging money I had paid in to Club to the wind. Was a regular in mornings on my way to work but due to new job location this was no longer possible. Have been on holiday found my card & took the opportunity to go over.Terms & Conditions not be explained when you start a club card. Counter staff couldn’t have been nicer. Butcher made me feel humiliated when she asked him to check card. He asked her who’s signature was against payments the staff member said it was hers, “surely he would recognise his own staffs signatures' to add insult to injury got the feeling he was implying I had made the card myself or found it in a bin. Left card with them was really insulted by this time stupid me”HAPPY...

Tried Chapmans Butchers’ pies recently and I’m still not sure if I should call a doctor or a priest. The pastry was so undercooked I half expected it to start rising in the oven again – pretty sure Paul Hollywood would’ve sent it straight to pie jail. The meat inside tasted like it had just been defrosted next to a packet of frozen peas, and honestly, I’ve had better dining experiences courtesy of Iceland… and I don’t mean the country.

Then there was the curry. They say it was “homemade,” but unless their home is a jar factory, I’m not buying it. Bitter too – either the spices were way off or the sauce itself had died a tragic death long before it met my plate.

A family friend had recommended that whilst we were in Scotland on holiday, we had to try a breakfast pie. So we drove the 20 minutes from our hotel and got there just after opening. Tragedy, no pies in stock! :( However, the lovely lady behind the counter said that they could make some for me, if I was able to return later in the day. So we came back in the afternoon, I was recognised immediately and the pies were handed over. The verdict? Absolutely delicious! Lovely crispy pastry and the layers of treasure within were yummy....
