Great range of stuff and good prices, went in to buy a laptop but no one interested in going through them with me so I left. Pity because in the past the customer service assistants were very attentive and very good. Edit - 10/2/2022.. I have increased this review by 3 stars up to a 5 star after my visit back to the store today, was greeted by Service Assistant called Matt, what a brain this guy has, I reckon if Matt doesn't know it then it's not worth knowing. Matt talked me through everything I needed to know, after discussing everything I would be expecting out of the laptop he explained in detail why he wouldn't recommend what I thought was my best buy, and then went through the machines that would do the job I needed. What I loved about this experience was Matt kept within my budget without me having to say, all in all the recommended machine was not in stock at the Meole Brace store but Matt checked stock at more local stores and found some at the Wrexham store to which I went straight to and got the desired laptop. If you go to Currys in Meole Brace to buy a Laptop or Computer, ask for Matt and you won't go far wrong. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Currys is a great store; I actually love going there. However, you need to be careful what you buy. The big items are usually a great price but the accessories are a rip off. That's why I take my phone to check the prices online. I'm always happy to pay more in store and to get it there and then but there are limits. Also, I notice they are still hard selling expensive AV (anti virus) packages for Android. I am an expert on Android and unless you download dodgy material, deliberately go to sites that Google warns are unsafe or root your phone, you cannot get a virus. Now some people just don't get it so I understand the desire to take their money. Some people have more money than sense so I'm not going to bash Curry's for that.. no, no. So, yeh...great store, fabulous staff, excellent location, wheelchair friendly = all very impressive (well done Curry's) but you won't see me there often.

My recent visit to the Currys in Shrewsbury was a really positive experience. The store itself is large and well laid out, making it easy to browse the wide selection of products they have on offer. Crucially, they seemed to have plenty of stock, which is always a bonus when you're looking for something specific. I didn't have to worry about anything being out of stock, which saved me time and frustration. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone I encountered was helpful and approachable. They were happy to answer my questions and offer advice without being pushy. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, which made shopping there a pleasure. I would definitely recommend this Currys store to anyone looking for electronics or appliances in the Shrewsbury area.

Our iPad trade in offer experience was awful. A very long story short we called to confirm offer and details, “if it’s working you will get at least £50 trade in”, we then drove 45miles to the nearest store (Shrewsbury), it took a very long time to get anyone to pay attention to us, the staff member seemed very frustrated and said he only works 25 hours so they don’t train him on any of the new offers so he needed to get advice as he had no idea of the rules, he struggled to find anyone that could give him the advice he needed, they took my iPad for inspection, they returned my iPad to me totally wiped restored to factory settings and told me because of the two (5mm maximum) dents to the corner, it was worth £5. Even though it was fully working and passed the software checks etc. I asked them to restore my iPad to how it was as I didn’t know how to and I’d been in store about 45mins already to be told it was worth £5. They told me it would cost around £30 to reinstate my iPad!!. I didn’t give permission for them to blank it but they said it was policy, even though I wasn’t told prior to them doing it. I asked for the manager who was sarcastic and unprofessional and borderline passive aggressive. We did not raise our voices or get angry we just asked questions like “if a dent means it’s worth £5 why did they proceed to wipe it” “why weren’t we asked if it was ok to wipe it first” and “we were told on the phone if it’s working then it’s worth at least £50” etc, the manager said they wipe them first, check the software and then check for damage, which to us seemed ridiculous to do it in that order. He said he classed it as ‘not working’ because of these tiny dents! We really felt for the staff (the store was empty) many seemed very unhappy, frustrated, unmotivated, unsupported by management and poorly trained. Having witnessed the attitude of the manager we spoke to, no wonder they have such a high...

It's the 3 day that I'm spending at home waiting for a delivery, and suddenly now is out of stock.

The first day they gave me a delivery window, so I waited for the item. The item was not delivered so I called them and after 40 minutes waiting I got to speak with someone that assured me the item had leaved the depot and that the driver was not answering, so they didn't know were it was. That is fine (I thought), as there are things they cannot control. The second day I called first in the morning, and then at 5pm asking for my item. In both occasions they told me my item was on its way, due to arrive that same day, but that the delivery driver was catching up with the delivery of the day before, so it was expected to be late. Nothing arrived. The third day, after calling and waiting on the phone, finally someone confirms that they don't have the item in stock, and that I have spend my last 2 days waiting for nothing.

It seems to me that basically their customer service just try to pass the ball to the next one, knowing that they are not going to be hold responsible for it. At the same time, the waiting time on the phone (about 4 hours in the last 3 days) shows an obvious lack of personnel at their side, not ready for the extra work they need to do in Christmas period (that also matches with the "passing the ball" attitude).

In short, if you are planning to order something from them, please be aware that if everything goes well fine, but if not, you will be dealing with a very poor customer service, with low capacity of response and without any idea of what is going on with your order (or with not problem of...

Curry's PC World reviews are literally the most inaccurate reviews I've ever seen on this platform so I feel like I have to write one that's actually related to the store itself and not about something unrelated:

The customer service is always great, and you can get access to a reasonable amount of options when it comes to choosing what you want to buy. The staff are able look up any publicly known information about most of the products they sell so don't be scared to ask questions.

However I need to mention that Curry's PC World do NOT manufacture any of the computer related products they sell like laptops, printers and desktop computers. it's genuinely VERY cruel to place poor reviews based on things they cannot control.

I really need to explain that Staff WILL point out to you that the cheapest laptop in the store is half the product than the one that's just ÂŁ100 more, right next to it. It's literally YOUR fault if you ignore them.

The amount of "1* I didn't even go here" reviews this place has is actively crippled the average ratings of this place too. it's seriously very messed up to do this. If you didn't go inside the store don't write a review, it's not that hard. I don't care if Google asks you to write a review about a store you only walked past, they only ask you to do it ONCE and they never ask again until you return to the stores area.

Trust me, when it comes to reviews on Maps, sort by "most liked" or "most helpful" and not by most recent, it will save a lot of headaches.

This place is sound. The reviews are...
