Iāve recently taken up gardening as a hobby, and my visit to Dobbies really made me fall in love with it even more. The garden centre has everything you could possibly need ā from tools and plant feeds to a wide variety of plants, shrubs, and seeds.
One of the highlights for me was their lovely fish and pond centre, which adds a really charming touch to the whole experience. They also have a welcoming cafĆ© thatās perfect for a relaxing drink or bite to eat after browsing.
During my visit, I picked up a beautiful hydrangea and a clematis, both of which are doing really well in my garden. Everything felt well cared for and high quality, which is especially reassuring as a beginner.
I also signed up for their monthly membership, which starts with a free trial month. It includes 20% off all purchases and two complimentary drinks each month from the cafĆ©. After the trial, itās Ā£15 a month, and you can cancel at any time. If you visit regularly, itās definitely worth considering.
While Dobbies isnāt a small local business, it still has a lovely, welcoming feel to it and makes gardening feel rewarding and accessible. Whether youāre new to gardening or have years of experience, itās a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for lunch in the cafe today with my 3 year old grandson and my elderly disabled mother who is 87! The queues were not too long but the service was abysmal. Anyone buying hot food had so long to wait for hot drinks that the food was cold. There was only one till open and further queues there. If you were lucky enough to find a clean table, well done! The place was cluttered with dirty pots on tables that were not cleared during the one and a half hours of our visit! I witnessed one customer clearing 4 trays of plates etc and moving them from one table to another and also from a chair so she could sit down - after using her baby wipes to clean the dirty table! Staff were delivering food to people at tables and walking back to the kitchen empty handed instead of clearing some tables. This restaurant used to be very nice but this is no longer the case. It is dirty and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot worthy of a visit to be honest, for example who wants to pay Ā£50 for a pot money box? It was pretty but definitely not worth it, probably pay Ā£20 maximum. When it was Wyevale I always found myself purchasing an item but not now it's absolutely lousy, the last item I purchased when it was Wyevale was a wind charm for the garden also an apple š tree. The place seems quite empty (stock) and it's nothing to do with Covid-19 either as it's always like this, the place has no soul and isn't inviting and nothing seems to grab your attention when you are inside, in other words it's boring. Hopefully at some point the management might read the reviews and change it as everyone seems to be saying...
