Booked a twin room got 2 single beds pushed together. Not great as sharing with me Dad. Food disappointing. Mixed grill was greasy, chips were rubbery. In the morning it took 3 of us 12 mins to toast some bread in the morning. Took so long we didnt have any with our fry up. Hash Brown's were not cooked properly, sausages were oily. Ate everything as was very hungry and spent alot of money on the food. Had bad heartburn and indigestion rest of the day though. Was told by waitress tge toaster took so long as it was an energy saving toaster, we all wondered if it was actually switched on.. coffee machine produced dish water Lattes... Definitely will not return...

Stayed here on business for single night, the staff were friendly and helpful - the room was dire. It’s was old worn out and tatty. Water pressure especially cold water was abysmal. I noticed when Leaving some builders were renovating another room, I appreciate things get worn and need upgrading but charging £120 for a room in this state or even allowing it to be booked in the first place smells of opportunistic price gouging. In addition there are no plugs or USB charging anywhere near the bed but on opposite wall sockets galore! 7 to choose from. The room wasn’t very premier but the price definitely was.

Booked to stay here when we went to see Take That at the Riverside on 24.5.25. Staff on reception were lovely and friendly and happy to help (we had called the day before to find out which taxi companies we could use, Royal Cars were spot on). Room was lovely and much bigger than I expected. Everything was spotless and the bed was soooo comfy. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here after a family gathering nearby as it was perfectly located. The hotel is presented well from the outside and the staff are really friendly and accommodating. We did have a sheet on our bed with mildew staining which was rather off-putting but was swiftly rectified by a staff member whilst we were at dinner. Aside from that the room was clean and stocked with tea and coffee ready for us and we both slept well. I must say that dinner was not great though. Service was very slow and our drink order took a very long time to arrive. I believe they were training a new team member so it's understandable but really they could have done with an extra team member on hand to help him out a bit more. The food itself was ok when it did finally arrive but we decided not to drag it out any further so we skipped pudding. Breakfast the next morning was a different experience entirely. We were greeted by a very friendly, enthusiastic team member who showed us to our table and told us where everything was and we helped ourselves. A huge improvement on the dinner service the previous evening. Checkout was simple and there is a phone for calling a taxi by the front desk to make life easier. All in all there is room for improvement staffing wise. Some extra hands on deck would make all the difference. But we enjoyed our stay...

booked a family room for 2 adults and 3 children (1 of 17 months) that the room was set for a room of 3 and no travel cot which was booked a month ago and the cups in the room were dirty. the gentleman on reception was kind enough to change the cup and make the 2nd bed for my 8 year old son and ensured me that a travel cot would be in my room before i got back from my evening meal in the brewers fayre next door. getting back to my room around 11.00 to find no travel cot my wife went to reception to ask for a travel cot and was told there is only 1 travel cot per 20 room and we were out of luck how ever he offered a refund for breakfast if we went to reception the next morning. not a comfty night sharing a sofa bed with my 13 year old son. the next morning I went to reception to check out and the gentleman pretty much discarded my complaint and told me no refund would be given for breakfast as it was 11.45. the gentleman who check us in was really helpful other than that very...

Tired and dated hotel, our room was apparently one of the newer refurbished rooms. Not in our eyes. Ripped carpets, uncomfortable bed, with a very heavily stained, old, well used mattress that sagged, lumpy pillows. I must have got a hours sleep. Now writing this very tired, with a stiff neck, and bad head. Restaurant just ok. We asked to be seated in family area which was very cold with a draught blowing in. We then got missed on placing our order. I finally had to chase the server down as they started serving new arrivers. They said sorry as we had just blended in. Floor was strewn with other food, menus were sticky. Food very slow at arriving and not very hot. Only good thing was its location for main routes elsewhere and...
