Gillingham — Local services in Great Britain

Amazing we have such a great train line that is most of the time, direct to london. Nice and easy, Friendly station and so simple to navigate, I travel from here semi regular and its always clean and, I like the little Train ornament that is seen from the Gillingham sign on the Grass area, visible from platform 1 directly opposite to platform 2. My only gripe would be the usual issue, The toilets are Filthy and the automatic sink and dual dryer seldom work. Bring hand sanitiser if required. Great little station and allows for reflection time peacefully before you grab your train. Its never chaotic but...

Lived in Gillingham all my life, It certainly has changed very quickly over last few yrs, A huge Draw is the railway line,on main route to London, Also Gillingham Comprehensive School .. Plenty of Supermarkets, Living here all mu life, When Gillingham was a very pretty town to live,every shop on high street was used,now only a few long standing businesses have lasted test of time... Ģillingham has had many changes, it used to be,you could walk through high street and know almost every one, few local people have stayed...Ever expanding, Always Changing...However...

While the railway station itself is quite well-maintained, the cafe leaves much to be desired. The prices are grossly overpriced for the quality offered, and the overall appeal of the food is lacking. It's a missed opportunity, as this could have been a charming spot to start...
