Would give 3.5 stars if possible. Tour couldn't be booked online and had to be booked by phone, which was less convenient from abroad. Before our tour began, our guide was extremely rude to someone who hadn't booked and was inquiring about a tasting (felt very bad for the guy and set a weird tone to the beginning of the tour). Tour itself was good, if not a little drawn out (could have been more succint, more engaging). Tasting service was very slow, with little interaction and people at the table asking for the next dram a few times (felt like our table's requests for travel bottles or labels, etc. were big, long inconveniences). Seemed short-staffed and in a small space and maybe the guide was having a bad day(?). Whiskies were good, but could only purchase 2 of the ones we tasted, unfortunately.

Read moreMany thanks to Charol, the Warehouse Tasting was really great but the Lady in the Visitor Centre is just unbelievable. Yes after a tasting you can be a little drunk, then you come to the Visitor Centre to try more until you want to buy something and we buy a lot of very expensive bottles in the last days, but not without tasting them apparently. This is not possible in this visitor centre you get stupidly adjusted and get asked stupid questions. I want to buy the exclusive flight to Taste but is not possible. Work with professionals for once. You want to sell whisky? Then you should also offer the whiskies that are tasted in the warehouse tasting. Drop Sample from the 21 age If you don't want to do it for free, I can understand, then take money for it. I'll pay the £50 for Tastingflight !. Incredible Sorry but this...
Read moreWhat a fantastic wee distillery. We went for the Whiskey festival and couldn’t have been more impressed with Glen Scotia. Out of the three distilleries that were hosting the festival, GS was by far the best. Not only is the whiskey nicer but the staff more friendly, better informed and more helpful. It felt like Springbank were just interested in sales whereas Glen Scotia was there to give you a great experience. The Glen Scotia whiskey is lighter and more drinkable and the staff took time to talk through the tasting flight, of which they were very knowledgeable. Great experience for us and great walking tour with Hector. Thank you Glen Scotia. We will be back for the festival again and we will be buying from our...
