I always try pies from butchers as I like to support this scerce type of shop and very often I get really good ones. Unfortunately the steak and Guinness pie I bought a few days ago was truly awful. The filling had little taste and not even a hint of the Guinness that was supposed to be in it. Worse was the pastry which was quite sweet!. Did they put sugar instead of salt in the mix?
