How grateful I am to Jit and the team! They have transformed our family home into somewhere we love spending time.

I work in the trades but only recently moved back to the area so didn’t have any builder contacts. Normally you would only use builders that come with a friends or families recommendation however this wasn’t possible so I started to look online.

I rang so many builders and found out quickly it’s quite overwhelming. Ranging from builders not turning up on multiple appointments and quotes that seemed very high with no detail or breakdown. I’ve worked hard and saved up to complete these works and needed confidence.

As soon as I found Lux constructions website I was impressed as everything looked very professional. Having had a quick chat with Joe/Jit I got excited because he sounded genuine and knew what he was talking about.

Jit came to see what we wanted to do and arrived on time, he was courteous and made my family feel at ease. We talked over the works and Jit made some valuable suggestions. Out of all the builders that came to quote he was the only one who brought a tape measure!

Jit provided a detailed quote and a fair price, we happily hired him.

The work Jit and his team has been completed to a great standard. He communicated throughout to a high level and provided stress free solutions to a few unforeseen circumstances and kept to the budget. He even did some small extras and didn’t charge extra.

I wouldn’t normally write a long review like this but our renovation journey was hard until we contacted Lux...

Jit came to the house to discuss our ideas & confirmed that the work was possible in remodeling our kitchen. A doorway was reworked, an internal window was taken out and blocked up, floorboards lifted & replaced, electrical cables installed before the ceiling and walls were re-plastered. All done with the minimum fuss and noise (I was working from home elsewhere in the house so noise levels were important). Each morning we were informed of what work would be done that day and an end of day catch up. Certified electricians were brought in to do the final installation, commissioning and certification of the circuits. The place was left clean and tidy at the end of each day. The walls and ceiling were painted. Then the kitchen units and electrical goods were installed with decorative plinths, new skirting board where needed, a remodeled step down into the adjoining room. At the last minute we added in a request to install new doors as the existing ones looked tatty against the new kitchen units. This was done with minimal fuss. A skilled joiner was brought in for this piece of work and he did an excellent job too. Jit and his team are very hard-working, professional, thorough and seem to really enjoy what they do. They were very pleasant and easy going to talk to and there was none of the usual shouting and raucous behaviour that we have seem when neighbours had work done. We engaged Lux Construction to re-design and build our new kitchen and fittings, including demolishing load bearing partition walls, enlarging the kitchen, dining and lounge space and fitting expensive high-end kitchen and utility units and hardware. Lux Construction worked with us from consultation to design, to project management and installation.

The staff and Joe, the Director, were utterly personable. They were helpful, customer-friendly and prompt. Joe kept his promises about timescales and negotiating value-for-money units and specialist fittings with suppliers. Joe was very knowledgeable, he took time to explain different design options to us and interpreted our requests creatively, ensuring prices were within our budget. Joe showed great customer care and his after-service maintenance arrangements were helpful. It helped a great deal to have a company that can competently deal with and arrange the multifaceted works (electrical, plumbing, demolition, gas safety and local authority building permission, etc) involved in re-designing and re-building our kitchen.
