It's a great shop with great people working in it. Plenty of disabled/parent and child designated parking areas close to the store's front doors. Anytime I have visited, the store always appears to be well stocked but there have been times when it wasn't so great and things you would expect to be in stock are not in stock. They have recently completed a mammoth refit to the store to expand the ranges that they sell. This allowed them to expand their celebrations dept into a one stop shop for cards, banners, cakes, and other decorations for parties, a brilliant addition to the store. They have also expanded the homewares section to include everything for the home that's small enough to fit in a trolley. This store has one of the best butcher's department I have ever used. I use the butcher's counter everytime I go shopping. They sell the most amazing range of meat and poultry, most of which has been prepared, not butchered, by themselves in store. This won't appeal to everyone though so, right next door is the fishmonger, who sells an array of fish and shellfish. I have found their fish to be as fresh as it can be and tasty. The Basa fillets are a particular favourite. There is also a cold meat and Deli counter. The cold meats are hit and miss, sometimes you get what you are looking for, sometimes you don't. So for your attention Morrisons, us folk in EK like smoked cold meats but we can never get them in the Lindsayfield store, please can you fix this? My personal fave is the Applewood Smoked Ham but for some reason Lindsayfield never have it. The Gammon itself is very very tasty. The bakery needs a baker who knows what a Scottish Roll is and how it is made, and the difference between that Scottish roll and a BAP. I know the differences and I would hope that a baker would too. Apparently not in this particular bakery section. The rolls are always bap-like! I like a bite to my roll, that's why I don't buy them anymore at Morrisons. If Lidl can do it why can't Morrisons! Apart from the rolls, the rest of their baked goods are superb. Their finger rolls are great and their seeded loaf is a particular favourite. The baby department is well stocked and sells everything you would need for your little one. The Nutmeg Clothing range has been extended from kids to include more adult clothes and accessories. These are competitively priced and are of a very good substance and value. The Wine/Beer aisles are still there and stock a varied and wide range of wines, spirits and beers. They have occasional deals on them. The Grocery sections are extensive and carry all the major manufacturers. Male/Female hygiene/grooming products enough for everyone. The household section is also extensive and carries all the major cleaning brands. They also have a special Scottish section, which seems to stock mostly Irn Bru! They have also extended their World Food items, which includes everything you would need to cook your own curry/Chinese/Moroccan meal at home, but they also stock some harder to source items as well. Yum! They also have half an aisle dedicated to wholefoods which is fantastic. Their fresh fruit and vegetables are still located at the front of the store, where you can also purchase salad bags, pasta bowls! Would love to see more Wonky lines in this section as there is only so much Wonky potatoes you can eat. What about some Wonky Squash, to go beside your other Wonky ranges. Their freezer sections are located at the opposite end of the store from the front door! Great planning if you are only running in for a bag of ice, not. Having to dive past trolleys, other people shopping, prams/buggies and folk in queues at the checkout isn't ideal. I understand the reasons for putting them there, after all it would be daft to have them at the front of the store because it would all be melted by the time you had finished shopping! Can they not provide a freezer at the front of the shop to store some ice? Then it's just a quick dash in, through the self-serve checkouts, and...
Read moreCheckout staff are not consistent with each others approach over Covid-19 procedures which then cause customers to argue with each other. The place is just dire and i have heard so many management changes, yet the poor service, poor layout, poor value for money continues. It would have been better if the useless bistro was used as the lotto/tobacco kiosk. The customer services should be next to it in the timpson key stand (the guy that works there must be constantlt bored). The clothing area should just be removed and replaced with normal food ailses. The pizza salad bar area is just out of place. The actual main foyer is a nightmare because you are having to stock it with bulk items/offer items and having the garden shop there is ridiculous. A store entrance and exit should not be stocked at all, thats what your store is for! Im surprised this passes health and safety. No wonder people get annoyed trying to enter and exit the store. The store cleanliness and tidyness is virtually non existant. When was the last time anyone saw the place being cleaned? Shelves/checkouts? The self serve checkouts are the worst, every since time i have used them for a trolley load, without fail the red kight has came on no fewer than two occasions each time. The store needs a...
Read moreShopped there earlier today and was so disappointed, freezer section still not repaired🥶, only 2 tills open both with queues of at least 5 customers each 🛒, all others were selfservice. Diet coke had displayed price of £8 but lady on till informed us it was £12 🤑, this was checked and an assistant returned with the wrong displayed price ticket informing us if we pay the higher price we could go to customer service and get a refund for the difference which we did, but as I paid by card the refund would need to go back on my card and would take several days. I felt through no fault of myself or the cashier we were treated very poorly. It's the management's fault, not having enough cashiers on, putting the fault onto the customer and putting the customer at an...
