Can't give 5 stars as the fryer was a little rude. After entering the premises, I was acknowledged but stood next to the counter. No indication either within the shop that there was a "queue" nor that where I stood was where food was given after payment. Maybe I'm being trite, however, two other customers entered and were served before me as they joined the "queue". Then realising that the server nor the fryer were helpful. My order having been taken was then freshly prepared, however the fish batter was under cooked, with raw batter being fish side, and as a result carried too much "fat" meaning they were what some call greasy. Excellent fish and chips. Called in on Saturday lunchtime and ordered large Haddock, small portion of chips & peas. The fish was thick, fresh & tasty and as advertised 'large'. It was massive in comparison to other so called large fish I've had recently. The batter was light and crispy and it was cooked to order by the very pleasant owner.
