I'd give zero stars if that was allowed.
First started ordering from grill and desserts when it first opened. I ordered regularly but after a good few mistakes with my orders I stopped ordering. Mainly because they kept making my food spicy when I asked for not spicy.
After a year I started to give it another chance everything was fine for several orders. The boy with the round glasses and the girl who makes the desserts are both really good. Take care to get your order right and always friendly.
However.. when they are not at work....
Ordered food last night and was missing 2 side salads and garlic mayonaise on one of the hoagie, asked for one spicy chicken hoagie to be not spicy. It was seriously spicy. Phoned the shop. They sent out garlic mayonaise and the salads.... 15 minutes later by which time the food was cold.
Ordered a hoagie and a dessert again tonight. Again missing the garlic mayonaise. Again I asked for not spicy and tonight I couldn't eat more than a couple of mouthfuls because it was so spicy. Had to throw majority of it away and go without food. I ordered at 11pm and was told 30/40 minutes wait for the order. Didn't arrive by midnight so I phoned back. They said the order was on the way. I got the order at 12.20am. As soon as I saw the hoagie had no garlic mayonaise and that it was far to spicy i tried to phone the shop which had shut so couldn't fix the issue. Not that I'd have waited for a replacement anyway I'd already waited 80 minutes for a small order. If I ever phone the shop they do try to fix the issue and apologise. But sorry isn't really good enough after a good few problems. If they send replacement parts of the order some of my family have finished eating thier food by the time we all recieve the right order. Paisley grill and desserts is more expensive than all the other similar takeaways in the area so it should be spot on most times. It's not. Thier delivery fee is more expensive than other takeaways in the area. I've had problems with the delivery drivers EXPECTING to keep the change from my order. They don't bring change to the door and I don't mean expecting to keep a leftover 30p from the cash notes I pay with... I mean 3,4,5 pounds each time they expect to keep even if the delivery has taken an hour and twenty minutes. There's 2 drivers that's done this at my door several times so it's not a coincidence . One of them even claimed to be going to his car for change... I waited at the door for ten minutes letting all the heat escape my home and shivering cold in January. When he came back he said he'd had to go to the shop for change. He didn't even get the right change and I had to raid my sons piggy bank to make the transaction work between us. I'm already paying £3.99 for delivery and I don't tip unless the delivery has been fast and I've at least been offered my change. For them to expect £7 £8 or £9 or more is just not on.
Most of all I can't understand what they can't understand about the words "not spicy". I'm now out of pocket with no...
Read moreUpdate One Year Later: After my initial glowing review, it's disappointing to see how much this establishment has declined. Ironically, I had originally expressed excitement about where they would be in a few years, but unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated significantly. The decline seems so drastic that I can only assume the business has changed ownership. Wait times have increased, food quality has plummeted, and on multiple occasions, my orders have arrived cold. This isn't based on just one or two experiences-I've ordered through both Just Eat and their own app more than ten times, and each time, the experience has worsened. Sadly, this place has become just another mediocre takeaway in town. It once stood out, but those days are long gone. What remains is merely a shadow of its former glory-much like their chicken pakora, which now looks and tastes as if it has been sitting under a heat lamp all day.
Original post: Easily order from here 20+ times and unlike other places, the quality keeps improving over time from good food to great food. Always like to try new things from their menu and they still manage to consistently knock the quality and position sizes out of the park. Consistently is the optimal word which is no easy feat compared to many other places in Paisley. However, their speed of delivery is also the star of the show, even at peak times we have never had to wait more than 40 minutes. On a few occasions, it's been at our door in under 20min and it's cooked to perfection and NOT a sloppy mess.
I look forward to seeing where they will be in a few years and will always have me as a dedicated supporter if they keep up the good work, which I'm sure they will.
Also worth noting their pizza sauce has been on...
Read moreI have been here a few times and in the past it's been very good and nice. But today when I phoned in my order I was told it be ready for me to collect. It wasn't.. I ordered a Doner hoagie and chicken pakora. It was not nice and I threw half of it in the bin. The chicken pakora was just strips of chicken with very little batter on it and it tasted a bit off. And the Doner hoagie had more raw veg on it than anything else and when I got to the meat and chips it was hard and again not nice at all.
As I said I threw half of it away in the food waste bin that's how bad it was. Maybe go back to MasterChef...
