This spa resort is an amazing place. Large carpark, beautiful grounds and amazing staff guarantee you a perfect stay! I booked for my wife’s Birthday a one night stay with spa room, 4 hour spa access and 2 treatments. It was very expensive for my usual budget but totally worth it! Reading the booking email I did think we would be allowed to use the pool and some spa facilities from the time of our arrival (we arrived at 0930) on check in day; turns out we couldn’t use anything until 1300. We could have sat in the bar area to wait with snacks and drinks. We decided to head into Harrogate instead and had a great morning. Returning to Rudding Park around 1245 the staff were amazingly welcoming, attentive and efficient. The whole place operates like clockwork, our main bags were taken to be placed in the room; we had packed our swim wear in small separate bags and headed to the spa. The facilities are great, we had the use of the main spa area for 4 hours which was about right. There is a lovely infinity spa pool to enjoy, a steam room, experience showers, ultra violet light room, oxygen room and of course saunas all in the main complex. Out in the grounds there are some lovely seating areas, a jacuzzi another sauna and the tranquility room. There is a bar to serve you drinks, these can be ordered and delivered to your seat or even to the pool. That evening we had a meal in the Clock Tower restaurant which again was 1st class. I had the fillet steak which was cooked (medium) to perfection and a lovely dessert. We got chatting to a member of staff during our desserts, the wife happened to mention she was going to make use of the jacuzzi bath in our room after the meal. The staff member went to our room to run the bath so it would be ready for her when we got back; now that’s service! Aesthetically the whole resort is 1st class, even walking from one area to another there are some beautiful communal rooms to read or relax in. There is a decent gym available as well so if you’re into exercising then definitely take your kit. The breakfast the next morning was also excellent, a decent spread for the continental; then good menu options as well. During the morning we had our treatments booked, I had a deep tissue massage whilst the wife had a rose massage. Both were great, as part of the treatment area there are also relaxation rooms which are great. These include a video relaxation room, a sleep room and just a decent room to read and chill. Herbal tea and water is available. Our spa room was lovely, so big and housing its own jacuzzi bath, a mini bar, fridge and lovely terrace area. The room itself was the height of luxury; I could have happily stayed here for at least a few weeks. We had a fantastic weekend stay here for my wife’s birthday; I think if you want to treat yourself then Rudding Park will certainly deliver! We will certainly be going back again; our visits will only be tempered by the fact that we need to give our bank account a rest! Totally worth every penny though!

Rudding Park Spa: Luxurious Relaxation and Delicious Food (5 out of 5 stars) My bf and I recently visited Rudding Park Spa on May 12th, 2024, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. While unfortunately, a past shoulder fracture prevented me from indulging in any spa treatments, the facilities themselves were the best I've ever seen. The Spa: Rudding Park Spa boasts an extensive range of amenities, including: Hydrotherapy thermal infinity pool: Relax and soak in the warm water while enjoying stunning views while enjoying a few glasses of champagne in the pool as well. Multiple saunas and steam rooms: Relieve stress and detoxify in various heat experiences. Experience showers: Enjoy invigorating water features.i loved the tropical rain experience Foot spas: Pamper your tired feet. Sunlight therapy room: Boost your mood and well-being. Jacuzzi: Unwind in the bubbling whirlpool . Relaxation areas: Find tranquility in comfortable seating areas. The Horto Restaurant: After a day of relaxation at the spa, we indulged in a delightful dinner at the Horto Restaurant. The menu offered a fantastic selection, and the food itself was truly exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience a pleasure. A Minor Hiccup: The only downside to our visit was the price of the drinks. While the wine list was extensive, we found the prices to be quite high. Overall Impression: Despite the slightly expensive drinks, Rudding Park Spa remains an unforgettable experience. The combination of luxurious spa facilities, exceptional food, and friendly service makes it a perfect getaway for relaxation and rejuvenation. We can't wait to return for a full spa treatment experience in the future or even better stay the weekend.

We visited this wonderful spa on Sunday, December 8th. I want to say that we felt very good, but a few small mistakes ruined our day.I'll start with the first mistake from the staff. Me and my partner we've scheduled a full body massage, we spoke to a very nice girl at the reception who also changed our massage schedule because it was too early to have the massage at 10 am and we had check in at 9.30.I arrived at the massage room at 12:30. Me and my partner we had our massages scheduled at the same time and in the same room. I had a few questions for the girl who gave me the massage (I can say that it was not a full body massage but more of a gel rub). I mean, at the reception I was informed that the full body massage I scheduled with warm oil would start with the feet and end with a scalp massage. I ask the lady who was going to give me the massage what it includes in the full body massage and if it will end with a scalp massage to which she replies It will not be a massage with warm oil but with a gel and a scalp massage is not included to which I tell her that I was informed completely differently at the reception. Let's move on to the next one. The massage started which was supposed to start from the feet but it started with the back I didn't understand what was happening but I said to wait. I want to tell you that I can't call it a massage basically she put that gel on my skin and spread it ,then I have ask about in this massage are the arms included because he didn't massage my arms at all. I want to say that I had such a bad experience and such a bad massage was the first massage in my life that I can't call it a massage.Basically, the girl who massaged me was in a hurry and it was clear that she didn't feel like giving me that massage but rather wanted to pass the time and leave the room. I waited so long to have this massage and enjoy this day but unfortunately it wasn't possible.šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø But my partner had an amazing massage and was luckier than me. As if it wasn't enough that I had very bad experience in room masage I had a very unpleasant experience at the restaurant.🄺 I ordered the food, waited 30 minutes for the main course, then it arrived cold and the restaurant wasn't busy, there were 3 tables.I asked one of the staff members (I think it was a manager or supervisor) if I could have some extra warm sauce as the pasta was cold to which she replied of course and when it arrived she left the sauce on the table with a very ignorant attitude I felt so uncomfortable that I said I should't have just asked for that sauce.šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø My partner and I paid quite a lot to have a relaxing day but unfortunately we had a horrible day due to the staff.

I would like to suggest to the General Manager for this wonderful place to try to be more attentive to the staff so that they can provide a professional service to the guests. I'm sorry to leave this feedback but it may be useful to change the way how to treat customers. It's a wonderful place and it deserves that the staff provide professional...

I recently visited Rudding Park Spa with friends for our Christmas get together. Overall, a brilliant spa and facilities with many relaxation rooms, heated pools and steam rooms. The only slight downfall to the day was the customer service we received at the end when checking out of our spa day which could have easily been resolved by the member of staff.

We dined at Horto and added extras and a drink to our meals. At the end of dining the lady behind the bar asked to check our food and drink items and if all was correct, to sign, all of the items which were on the receipt were correct so I did sign as requested.

Upon check out the spa assistant behind the desk was ready to take our payment which I asked for the ā€˜ā€˜optional’ service charge’ (as stated on the receipt) to be taken off as we thought nearing Ā£70 for 4 drinks and 2 sides were on the pricey side, but also expected as it’s a luxury spa, we just wanted the service charge removed to which I was told it was. Yet then the same price was requested for us to pay. I questioned this twice as I had the receipt on my phone, to which I was ignored and she looked at my friend and repeated the cost (although the booking was under my name). Third time lucky, I repeated myself explaining the cost you are stating is with the optional service charge added on and we would like this removed, to which I finally got a reply of ā€˜no you have already signed and agreed for this to be taken’ then ignored again. I questioned at which point this was highlighted and agreed upon by us and she stated when I signed the receipt. We all explained that in the restaurant this was not brought to our attention at all and was told to check our food and drink items, given the term ā€˜optional’ it is still optional. I requested for a reprint of the food receipt so I could ā€˜unsign’ this service charge to be told ā€˜no you’ve already signed’ and basically that is it.

From working in hospitality myself for over 8 years through my student days, I would never dream of speaking to a paying customer in such a way, especially in a relaxing spa environment like Rudding Park Spa. The outcome of our experience and my review could have been a lot different if the desk assistant had responded with ā€˜sorry if this optional service charge wasn’t fully explained to you at the time, let me just go and reprint your bill with the optional service charge removed’.

This is why the above experience has been marked down for service as it left a bitter taste in our mouths with myself being point blank ignored twice to then very abrupt explanations. I do hope no one else receives this treatment as it did turn a great day into a negative one just as were leaving due to the unwelcoming attitude of a certain member...
