We recently stayed in Borrowdale apartment and yet again had an incredible experience from start to finish. The property was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as expected—if not better. It's very clear that Jenny and the team at Lingholm put a lot of thought into every detail, from the comfortable beds, high-quality fixtures and fittings to the fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. This is our eighth occasion staying at Lingholm and each time we visit we can see evidence of investment and continuous improvements from redecoration, new radiators, Hobby Hut, paddleboard storage, driveway repairs to name but a few. ||The location is perfect for us—close to the foot of Catbells and mountains beyond plus direct access to Derwentwater for a wild swim and paddleboarding. Check-in was seamless with the detailed and informative digital guide. ||We especially appreciated the little touches like complimentary teas/coffee/milk, and freshly baked treats from the Lingholm Kitchen. This apartment, like all properties at Lingholm truly felt like a home away from home.||Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality, spotlessly clean, and serene place to stay. Thank you Jenny and all the wonderful team at Lingholm for another fantastic experience!||Always looking forward to our...

We were lucky enough to spend a weekend staying at the Boathouse which is part of the Lingholm Estate. The setting and views are very unique and special with the accommodation perched on and over the shores of Derwentwater which is surrounded by fells and views towards Skiddaw.||The accommodation is perfect for two being very comfortable and luxurious including a very well equipped kitchen area. Thoughtful touches such as a pint of fresh milk in the fridge, a fresh sourdough loaf from the nearby Lingholm Kitchen and Bakery, as well as scone, jam and cream and chocolate brownies add to the feeling of welcome. Also provided are bathrobes, shower gel and shampoo.||However, it is the unique setting that makes a stay here so special. The views are beyond amazing and it is lovely to watch the variety of wildlife give way during the day to humans who use a range of craft from paddle boards to canoes to steamers to pass by the huge picture windows or the outside seating area. It is then lovely to see the wildlife return as the last of the day visitors disappear.||The estate also has some lovely walks including some you can do in the company of Alpacas! It all makes for a very relaxing stay and a fabulous escape with no need to venture further afield if all you want to do is relax and unwind. ||We are already planning a...

We have visited the Lingholm Estate many times .|This time was a long weekend en famille , staying in Catbells. |As ever,a top quality, immaculately clean property . Catbells has a fabulous full height window/ doors to garden which really gives the “wow” factor. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything one could think of. The fridge proved rather small for our large party.|The linen and towels are luxurious. Ground floor bedrooms and a bath proved very useful for toddlers .|We love the fact that dogs are welcome.|The situation of the estate is fantastic , offering private lake access and is near Catbells and other great places to walk.|I couldn’t finish my review without reference to The Lingholm Kitchen, a wonderful cafe , with friendly staff , the food is delicious ( dogs are welcome , even if they are wet and muddy!)|I would recommend Lingholm...

Loved our short visit to the Lingholm Walled Garden this week. Such a beautiful well cared for space and garden near the terraced cafe (which we are still to visit as looked amazing). We found some lovely sheltered areas and seats and we were spotted a pheasant on way in then many small birds flitting backwards and forwards between the many bird feeders. Chatted with some very friendly gardeners too, one who had previously lived close to were we live in Heaton which was added bonus ! Only down side was that we thought we could get launch from jetty to return to Keswick after walk but no longer available but hope to return for longer visit when we return Keswick x

Used to absolutely love coming here getting a drink from the cafe and then going to the waters edge now it's nothing more than a bloody money making scheme £5 to park and £4 voucher back for in the cafe and now your not allowed down near the waters edge so you have the very small garden to walk through and drink your extremely expensive drinks while you fume at the pointless journey you've just taken to be robbed for sitting in a nice garden for a drink 😔 such a shame they've ruined it

Great place for breakfast or brunch. The pictures show the eggs royale; the gardener's vegetarian breakfast; avocado toast and the traditional full breakfast. All were delicious with high quality ingredients. The coffee and tea were very good too. The cafe has a pleasant chalet style atmosphere with a gift shop and a terrace for outdoor dining. The bread is especially good, with top notch artisan breads, cakes and pastries.
