Bit disappointing, room for improvement. Husband and wife and family run the vineyard. We were led to a table and seated by the wife. There were no interactions or explanations re what was going on. We waited around 25 mins with a couple of other groups while a few others arrived. Husband came and introduced himself, spoke at length about the vineyard's achievements and awards. We were led to a yard and were given information re the soil/land. We were then led just the rear of the property to x1 row of grapes where more information re the climate and grapes was relayed. We were then ushered back inside. There was no vineyard tour as such. The wine tasting itself consisted of x4 miniscule portions of x4 wines - glasses were not changed between wines - there was a jug of water at table so we used that. During the tasting the gentleman spoke about the wines and spent a lot of time promoting various other partner businesses (which we were already familiar with) without any break for people to taste and chat amongst each other. Read moreWe did not have a tour , we just walked outside and tried some grapes . The owner gave us a lot of information but also spent a great deal of time telling us about how well the business was doing and also promoting other local businesses . Obviously it was good to hear about the family's success. The wife Chatlotte didn't interact with anyone whilst we were there. I hadn't researched the vineyard so didn't appreciate the winery wasn't on site so we didn't actually see anything if the wine making process hence no TOUR
We tested 4 wines , just a couple of sips each , a very small sample and no fresh glasses imbetween each wine. Both my daughters and I were so disappointed. They paid 20.00 each for our visit. There was a option to pay an extra 12.00 each if we wanted to sample...
Read moreMy family and I visited the winery today and enjoyed an amazing afternoon.
My wife and I tried a wine at the Erskin Arms in Conwy which we liked, we googled the wine and realised that this was a local business.
We booked in a tour and tasting with local cheese and meats and it was fantastic.
My wife and I live in Australia and visit wineries frequently - we learnt more on this tour than any other!
Sarah our guide was lovely, her friendly passionate nature was a joy to behold.
This business is going places and I'd highly recommend this experience to anybody who's interested in local food and wine to book in an afternoon.
Very enjoyable and will definitely come...
