Baffled at the Covid-regulations...from an aisle snaking round a large section of the shop over xmas to enter the food sections (forcing people to squeeze past shoppers browsing the goods lining the queue area and loose all chance of social distancing) to staff not wearing masks or observing distancing themselves. Some days there is no 'policing' of their regulations...other times there is a guy regimenting the queue not unlike an army officer...counting people into store from the queue to what they might mistake as a bootcamp rather than the local M + S "ONE, TWO...IN! THREE, FOUR...IN!" Speak to me like a human and a customer, ridiculous man. Visited today to an elderly couple being shouted at for 'jumping the queue', they were actually just trying to exit the shop.. they were told they had to queue to exit the shop...yep, that makes sense, keep them in a crowded shop for longer than they need to be there...then told to leave from the other exit. Also spotted an open pack of chicken spoiling in the fridge...informed staff member who whipped it away, here's hoping it didn't leak over the remaining packets. Speak to people like humans, you aren't the police (or army generals in the case...
Read moreWhen I popped into cafe on the first floor I wanted a croissant but there were none. I quickly popped to the bakery on ground floor and purchased a croissant to go with the coffee I purchased in the cafe. As I sat there enjoying my Sunday Times newspaper, sipping coffee and taking a bite from the croissant, a man pushing a trolley approached me and at the top of his voice, said I couldn’t eat anything purchased downstairs in the cafe. What a party pooped and jobs worth.
The man is the same man who stood at the queue nattering for ages with two customers. I learnt so much about the second customer’s hospital visits that I thought I need hospitalisation after standing for so long behind two nattering women. The man did nothing to hurry them along. Instead he joined in the conversation with one. Then he had the audacity to spoil the drink I’d waited so long for. I won’t be going in any Marks & Spencer’s Cafe’s again. Staff serving are slow, and others encourage customers to talk endlessly then they spoil the little breakfast...
Read moreI had a really bad experience in the shop this morning i got there at 08:00 and felt like i was followed and watched the whole way round my shopping trip. I could then hear the members of staff talking about the items i was looking at then walking over to check that i had not taken "the shoes" and to check what bag i had to make sure i could not fit anything in there. I had a very small bag that wouldn't of fit anything in there so they got the whole situation wrong. I then made my way to the till as i did i walked past a bunch of the women working there talking and as i walked past one shouted, i am not letting another thief get out of this shop!!! I then paid for my items of clothing at the till and i could hear the women talking about how they must of got it wrong and laughing at it. At this point i felt extremely on edge and extremely humiliated. This is the most out of place i have ever felt going into a shop and honestly i do not think i will ever enter...
