Read moreI live next to Scadbury so know it really well. In recent years motor cycles have frequented it and dogs off lead. They need to either allow dogs on lead or off lead. Dogs on lead often feel threatened by those off lead. When I questioned those in charge they say it's patrolled! My family home has been next to Scadbury since 1960; not once have I ever seen a patrol. So I question the validity of this statement by Bromley council. At least at High Elms they made a decision to make it dog friendly but due to lockdown and 5 miles away I have not been. I suggest they make it so dogs can go off lead officially or none are allowed off lead and it's enforced. Also they should put a proper bicycle path in a circle round the entirety so cyclists can enjoy it but clamp down on motorised vehicles. Was 5 stars in the 60s...
Read moreAmazing Peacefull walk at these woods horses peeping over fences wild parakeets above in the trees wild budgies as well as our native birds , Popular with familys walking and dog walkers and there's a wooden assault course for kids made from fallen trees at the picnic tables about a quarter of the way through the pathway walk ... theres a Harry Potter tree that's got a hole through it 😊kids climb it all the time ... sunken coated manor house as well for the history buffs out there .. slow walk is an hour and a half brisk walk or jog around the paths 45 mins to an hour ... Depending on ability in the dry weather all access is ok in the wet or snow some slippery patches and a steep hill so if your unsteady on your feet go in the dryer warmer times ... lovely peacefull place takes some carrots the horses love...
