Sports Direct — Local services in London

As someone who has worked in retail for over 10 years this store obviously doesn't value customers. The customer service was absolutely poor, and the guys on the floor would rather talk to each other than assist customer. When you finally have to bother staff (I say bother because when asking for a product you will get brushed off in the general direction) before you've even explained what you were looking for you get directed to a general area. I walked into the store around 11:30am and pretty much knew what I wanted but I couldn't locate everything I needed. The general feeling as you browse the store is they assume you are going to steal which for me was confirmed when I asked the associate behind the counter for help finding something at the exact moment the security guard was describing me over the walkie talkie which was quite offensive being that I'd only been in the store 5 minutes. (And yes FIVE whole minutes had passed with no contact. Not an exaggeration) One thing I'm sure off is that I will never set foot in this store and if I do decide to shop with the company again I'll have to chance sizes with the online service. Atrocious. I never write reviews but I had a horrible experience here. I bought trainers from Sports Direct and the heels broke and started cutting my feet anytime I wore them. I brought the shoes in for any kind of refund, exchange, vouchers etc and the staff treated me terribly. I eventually said how legally I'm entitled for them to repair or exchange my shoes as they're not fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality and they told me this wasn't store policy. I explained as nicely as I could that I'm a lawyer and as their receipt says I'm entitled to my statutory rights and they outright refused illegally. The manager said he wouldn't tell me his name as he would get in trouble... I explained that of course he'd get in trouble because it's illegal to not let me return shoes within the legal timeframe when they're cutting my feet and I had the receipt, box, card and shoes in otherwise good quality. Eventually I found out his name is Andrew, unless they lied. But terrible experience and literally breaking the law and I will be following this up with Sports...

Great prices BUT the most awful customer service imaginable. The staff are unfailingly rude and discourteous and very grudgingly serve you. If you want a size that is not on the shelves you have to wait ages patiently queuing and then they will be grumpy getting the shoes. Even when you buy over £100 worth of stuff you get no politeness in return. The guy who seems to be the manager is just an ill-mannered brute who does not know how to speak properly, much less with any resemblance of civility. We go there regularly for our family shoes because we live close by and because the prices are the best but each time we leave the shop, with a bundle of boxes, we vow never to return. Try a different branch and only go there if you are prepared for this sort...
