I very rarely submit reviews but feel people should be warned and made aware of issues. Like others I like to support the independent retailer but will likely look for another one next time!
Customer service we received was terrible regarding delivery of washing machine bought this week. Delivery failure on Tuesday after waiting in all day for promised delivery. Also payment taken for slightly more than stated price and cash refund then given when queried - nobody asked for cash back!! After 3 calls on delivery day then told at 4.45pm delivery drivers had finished and delivery would be next day. No phone calls returned even though this was promised by the store! We live 6 miles from the shop so not far and the offer to deliver Tuesday was made by the store.
Calling in to shop at 5.15 on Tuesday on way home from work and asked what happened - store would look into it but the driver had finished and he wasnāt answering his phone!! I asked - surely the machine is still in the van? Why would they finish at 4.30 without completing all deliveries? Question ignored! Also advised that staff there could deliver now but have other plans - so effectively chose not to!
Apologised to us for this and then indicated my employer like them at times would have customer service issues?? Wholly and totally irrelevant to this failure to deliver 6 miles away on the day offered to deliver!!
Receipt for our purchase made out to our address had someone elses name and someone elseās phone number noted on the receipt so obvious violation of their GDPR security commitment as per their website.

She had to leave so I paid a man at the counter. The man informed me that in fact my item only had a 1 year guarantee and not 2 as advertised. When I questioned it, he immediately and without explanation or apology said "want a refund?". He was so rude I was taken aback, so thinking we had crossed wires, I pointed out the sign that said '2 year guarantee' to which he again said "that's wrong, want a refund?" as he removed the piece of paper from the display and ripped it up in front of me and my friend!!
