Caffè Nero — Restaurant in Newry, Mourne and Down District Council

My family and I have been in Cafe Nero several times and usually it has been really enjoyable. We were in today and my grandson got a drink and a packet of popcorn. He asked me to try the popcorn that it didn't taste nice. It was horrible!! I checked the date on the back and they were out of date. Not only by a week or a month but 4 months. They were dated June 2019. After I complained the manager did refund the money for the popcorn but really didn't seem to get how serious this was. I am really disappointed and concerned for other children who maybe could have a reaction to this. Bad enough if they were out of date by a week but 4 months I really dont think there is any...

Caffe Nero is in the quay shopping centre and the coffee was great.

The staff were very efficient and polite to customers. The atmosphere was very relaxed with dimmed lights making it very comfortable to be in and friendly for those with any sensory issues. There is plenty of seating available however I got a coffee to go.

There is food available like cakes and pastries and small chocolate bars for purchase. There is a variety of the usual hot drinks you'd expect at a café . I got a Florentine mocha (£4.50 for large with cream) which was described as a citrusy and sweet coffee which is ideal with how the weather can be.

Always love visiting Nero at the Quays Newry. Lovely friendly staff who go over and above to meet the needs of the customers. They have a great relationship with the regulars.
