Recently went here for race simulators and karting. The staff had some technical trouble with some of the triple screen simulators which somewhat affected the quality of the experience, however, we were offered gift vouchers to allow us to come back and redo the session. On our second visit the simulators worked without fault.
The triple screen simulators use top end hardware from fanatec, a highly respected (and expensive) brand in sim racing, but the quality of the hardware isnāt met by the software or (seemingly) the graphics capabilities of the PCs they run on. With a bit of sim racing expertise these setups could be very realistic and would provide a level of simulation that the vast majority of people just canāt achieve at home. At the moment, they could be out performed by an average games console with a mid-range wheel & pedal setup.
The karting, however, was spot on. The karts ran well from start to finish and seem to be very well maintained. The track takes about 30 seconds per lap - not that long but not too short either - but is a great layout with both high and low speed corners. I would definitely visit again for the karting! Not many places have karts that run and handle so well (and reliably).
I would certainly recommend Eddie...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen we arrived we checked in via iPads, unfortunately only one of the 3 or 4 available was working but we got there, from there wenwerensent off to the briefing room to await other staff to give us some direction, but after 10 mins no one appeared so we got ourselves changed into the race suits available and waited, it was probably another 5-10 mins before anyone appeared to show up a safety video, once that was out of the way we headed for the track. The actual Go karting was fierce craic, the guys running the karting side were very knowledgeable and approachable. We decided to have a game of pool afterwards, 4 tables available but 3 were out of order, and the one that was working was about as flat a country lane, one yellow ball missing and no cue ball available so I managed to get a white snooker cue ball from reception but due to the weight difference once the white ball was potted (accidentally!) It didn't come back out, 2 coloured balls potted - game over! We had a walk around the facilities there really is so much to do, snooker tables, golf simulator, car racing simulator, 2 paddle tennis courts, a roller hockey arena, 6 5-a-side pitches, a laser style airsoft/laser tag arena and obviously the go...
