Took my children here today after seeing the rain after school, their moods were dampened to say the least. Fortunately as the doors opened to Airtastic Bangor and they were greeted by the super friendly staff, that Friday Feeling was restored. The male giving the safety talk was very clear and made sure my child was listening (something I am still trying to master). As they ran, bounced and tumbled their way through the course I watched for a while before realising the eagle eyed staff perched at certain points around the different obstacles clearly had things under control. I slipped away to the soft play with the younger child and dabbled in the vast options on the food menu, I had a wrap that was filled very generously and took no time at all to get to me, I couldn’t see a kitchen so I can only conclude it may be part of the magic of airtastic. As I humoured my youngest with clapping and celebrating her climbing the soft play area I half expected the scent of other children or their mishaps, but I have to say there was no sticky substances to surprises for my hands or nose as i joined in the crawling fun, then as I waved frantically to my child sat in a well polished hand print free Perspex ball in the sky I remember thinking “that’s cleaner than my windows” considering the very few staff working at one time and the swarms of little monsters going through the place, I can again only conclude Magic! Then disaster struck… my son screams that scream we all know as a parent… worlds are ending! … ok so it was a banged knee on a padded floor, I knew this I’m pretty sure the staff knew this but again the staff rallied around there was a cup of water from one direction an ice pack from who knows where …“magic”, I think my son even snuck a cheeky hug off one of the female staff and suddenly what he thought was the loss of a leg was forgotten. Big thank you to all the staff for creating a fun, safe and clean space! Highly recommend this place and their...
Read moreExtremely poor transparency and communication of their "terms and conditions"
Took my 5 year old son and 4 year old nephew to air-tastic. Queued for 15 minutes to then be told that they wouldn't be allowed to play together as my nephew isn't 5 for another week, despite this not being clearly communicated on any of their digital platforms nor in the reception area itself. However you are allowed to pay an extra £11 to go in and watch the 4 year old to make sure they're okay to play with the 5 year old, all this despite the actual warning in the reception area stating that children of all ages will be playing together.
I was told that all of this information was clearly available on the website when booking. So I decided to see just how clear it was, went to the site selected all of the options and got right through to the payment screen and not a single mention of them having to play separately, I'm sure if you hunted through the site for some obscure term and condition that you'd probably find it somewhere. However I did go on to the terms and conditions area of the website and read it in its entirety (the one place you'd expect to find it) and no mention of it whatsoever.
I also had a good read through their Facebook page but again no mention of this and in the reception area there are plenty of information signs relating to particular pieces of equipment but nowhere does it mention that they'd have to play separately.
A bit of a farce and a con if you ask me.
Extremely dissatisfied with the clarity and communication of their terms which led to a wasted journey and two very...
Read moreGreat place for a birthday party, very close to where we live so it's great to have indoor party choices without driving in to Belfast. Bowling was good fun and food was tasty according to the kids! Only thing I'd say is that for a bowling party it is not necessary to ask the kids to turn up 15mins before the lanes are available as we just had to stand by the busy entrance making sure the kids didn't vanish! Then when the bowling is finished you only get 30mins in the party room. Thankfully the food was already there when we arrived but 30mins is very short to feed a group of kids (you don't get assistance with this so have to serve all the kids their food and drinks, sauces etc) and also have birthday cake and they literally come to the door the second your time is up to kick you out. We were lucky all the parents were prompt for pick-up otherwise we would've been standing at entrance again trying not to loose kids! Will be back, but perhaps Airtastic should extend their party room time to 45mins as 30mins is a bit ridiculous, and also not enough food for the price we think. Overall though, our son enjoyed his party and compared to most party venues this is one of the best...
