We had a takeaway meal last night (Monday) from Chillis and it was the best Indian meal we have had since moving to Oxfordshire 4 years ago. I am Scottish and my partner is French and we both know a thing or two about good food. We had the Malaya curry, Lamb Korma pilau rice and peshwari naan. I am a vegetarian and thankfully my curry was full of fresh vegetables (potato, green beans, squash, peas etc). We declined the offer of poppadoms, however when we got home we were pleasantly surprised that the owner had included free poppadoms, fresh onions and a sample of I think a bombay aloo, which was delicious. Achar chicken, chicken Dansak, motor paneer, tarka dal, nan breads are our usual order, they are always fantastic. Food was brilliant but very pricey, not sure if thats because us northerners aren't used to southern pricing though. Ordered a Lamb Saag which wasn't in the menu but they acomondated my order. The garlic sauce on the pickle tray needs changing to a more traditional Raita as it wasnt nice.
