How can one express the gratitude one feels and acknowledge that moment of serendipity, when complete strangers show the hand of humanity and friendship to others. A meeting in a quiet town, in the cold darkness of night when everything seems to have gone wrong: induced by a car's abject failure to perform, accompanied by a mobile phone with exhausted battery. I approached two strangers whilst looking for that elusive public phone box. “Is there a phone box in this town?” The man, I now know as Pastor Craig replied to the question with a smile. “I'm sorry we're not from here so we're not sure whether there is a phone box or not, but we both have mobile phones and you're very welcome to make use of them.” This was the start of a long night in the company of Pastor Graig, who remained with me throughout also making calls for help on my behalf until a breakdown recovery vehicle arrived, refusing to leave until I was safe. We love Hillsong Church! It's the one day we really look forward to, the worship music it's so uplifting and the atmosphere is just amazing! My son gets to go to Kids church where the team is absolutely lovely and look after him so well, while I get some time in church on my own. Always friendly faces and a warm welcome, a very diverse church with people from different cultures...
