Very good service here as per usual! We pre-booked only an hour or so beforehand and when we got there they were very quick to seat us! I don’t give 5 stars unless fully deserving of it, and mainly give 4 stars for places I like but what makes this place better was the buffet style they have thought up. Instead of going up to get the food yourself, I thought that you’d have to order via a menu instead but instead you walk around, while socially distancing and the waiter/waitress stops at every point asking if you want that particular food. When all done they bring the plates over for you round their one way system. All works very well and smoothly and not to mentioned just £10 per person during “Eat Out to Help Out” days! =)

Me and my family went there yesterday 6th May 2024 for my birthday meal. We spent nearly £200 between us majority of my family traveled from London and Bournemouth to come here. The waiters was putting hot food on top of the stale cold food that’s been sat there for a while. The food was dripping in grease and you couldn’t eat it at all. Some of the food was burnt and when I tapped it on the table it broke to pieces. All night we have all been sick and had stomachache night sweats. We asked for our money back as we didn’t eat anything and they refused in the end they gave us £70 back. We ordered drinks the Pepsi was flat and tasted like soap. This is not acceptable it’s unhygienic and very unhealthy.

I struggled with this review because we need to review for what it is, not what it could be, but what it should be. It’s a Chinese buffet. That has its own problems of keeping the food hot. Yet, even accepting that it is hard, the food was generally like warm at best, which is not acceptable. The Teppenyaki bar was very good. Fresh and hot. Otherwise the buffet dishes: - Hot and sour soup was not sour and tasted odd. - Fish in black bean was very gelatinous. - Ribs were all bone and no meat. - Duck for pancakes did not look like duck. The atmosphere feels very canteen like. I’d not go back.

Located in Oxford's Ozone Leisure Park, Oxy Oriental is an all-you-can-eat buffet that offers a broad spread of Asian cuisines, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, and Indian dishes. It's a popular spot for casual dining, especially for those craving variety under one roof.

The restaurant boasts a generous selection of dishes—from dumplings, teriyaki chicken, and sushi to crispy duck and sweet treats—catering to both adventurous eaters and those after more familiar flavours. In the evenings, the live teppanyaki station and sushi bar add a touch of theatre and freshness to the experience. However, food quality can be hit-or-miss. While many enjoy the range and fast turnover (especially at busier times), others have commented that some items feel overly greasy, bland, or of lower quality.

The atmosphere is functional rather than fancy—often likened to a canteen or warehouse setting, with dim lighting and basic furnishings.

Where Oxy Oriental shines is in its value for money. With lunch priced under £7 and dinner (offering more variety) around £15, it’s an appealing choice for families, groups, or anyone looking for a hearty, budget-friendly meal. That said, whether it’s “worth it” depends on how much you value quantity over quality.

Verdict: If you’re after a no-frills, buffet-style Asian meal with plenty of choice and aren’t too fussed about fine dining, Oxy Oriental hits the mark. Just temper your expectations when it comes to quality...

Have been going here since it opened! The last few years have been disappointing, not what it used to be. Unfortunately it hasn't improved. I will say that my husband liked his choice of meat dishes. I'm vegetarian and the food options have constantly been the same. Food is nice, but they now do less. They no longer do sushi, toffee apple/banana, less variety of desserts (seem to have added budget biscuits to up the volume). I can understand removing the chocolate fountain as was never the most hygienic when saw what was being dropped in it. I always enjoy having seaweed, but tonight it tasted of old oil, so I left it. The chocolate cornflake cakes were bendy and stale. The pancakes fell apart as they were dry. The vegetable dishes were ok, just a shame they are the same as always - they aren't anything special, especially when it comes to flavour. We noticed it wasn't busy, especially being a Friday night. My husband visited last weekend and there were less people. I remember having to wait in a long queue to get in. It's such a shame as this was one of our regular places to visit. 2 stars given on behalf of my...

Every time I go to this place I feel sick after I eaten in this restaurant. It’s Buffet Restaurant which means eat much as you like but when you go to the Grill Chef ask for Prawns they fist look at you like you gone to fight them. Then they just grab 3 Browns only and in 1 minute they give them to you not cooked properly. The food which you could help your self it’s covered in souses & Oil it’s makes you vomit.

I went to Calais France Buffet Restaurant it’s like comparing day time & night time in UK the standard the quality the Prawns I got fresh from Grill Chef not just ones but many times as you like no thing like Oxy or Cosmo Plus much cheaper I never felt sick eating In Calais France I was wondering why it’s only when I go at OXY Oriental & Cosmo in Oxford City Centre I feel sick and I Vomited

The owner it’s nice But the Food Standards it’s very poorly I know he has 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in the door but that’s for the restaurant been clean they don’t test the food those officers from the Council. They should test the food before they sing those 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...
