Jake’s Takeaway — Restaurant in Oxford

Terrible service. They take cash only because they don't want to pay a small surcharge. They got me to download their app which charges £1 extra for everything even for collection. I WAS IN THE SHOP. I had to pay £1 extra to pay with card. They told me to keep the app my phone to make things faster next time, no way. Why should I waste memory on my phone to make up for a service you do not provide because you're greedy? They didn't even offer anything extra for the £1 I paid more than the asking price. Rubbish service....

Me and my friend ordered at roughly 10pm and didn't receive our food until about 20 pass 11, I'd paid just over £10 for food that was lukewarm and was all just frozen stuff chucked in a fryer. The cheesey chips were cold and the cheese had reformed into a big block, the chicken burger was basically just a birds eye chicken fillet which cost £3.50 and the popcorn chicken had 3 pieces no bigger than a marble. The kebab that my friend paid £7.40 for was dry, they forgot one of his sauces and he got a tiny layer of cold...

After a disastrous experience with another restaurant being very rude and never receiving my order I tried jakes and they were absolutely amazing the staff were so friendly on the phone and in person when I collected, they were so helpful, never felt like what I was receiving was a personalised experience from a take away before but they were brilliant and the food was lovely, the chips especially! If I'm ever in the area again I would definetely use them again and will be recommending them to anyone I know who...
