Exciting Escapes - Portsmouth Escape Room Experience — Local services in Portsmouth

Just had a very exhilarating and exciting experience at the excellent Exciting Escapes in Portsmouth. We felt very safe as everything was well organised, very clean, with good safe storage and very Covid friendly. Our amazing games host Abby, was very bubbly and friendly, explained everything fully, answered all our questions very clearly, made it fun, kept us updated, focused and engaged and only gave us hints and clues when necessary and  always in character. We encountered the 90s escape room which was amazing and very cleverly put together keeping us enthusiastic, enthralled, entertained, engaged and challenged. Our aptly named team "cake club" consisting of myself Yvonne, Melissa, Caitlin and Keith negotiated all the rooms and solved all the clues within the time limit (just) we all contributed (even me!) And we escaped with 4 minutes to spare! Keith even saved the day at the end by some fabulous Dad dancing!  Thank you Abby! Thank you Exciting Escapes! Thank you team! What a breath of fresh air! Fantastic experience!

My partner and I have done several rooms and had been through a slew of slightly poor rooms. It was great to attempt such a well constructed and engaging room.

Friendly, welcoming staff, very atmospheric location. The room itself was challenging but logical, it followed a concise order that allowed you to focus on the puzzles instead of hunting around the room for what to do next.

It was clear where the solution to each puzzle led which sounds like it should be obvious but many rooms I've been to expect you to just guess which lock the code you've discovered goes.

Our group escaped in about 47 minutes, so for us perhaps the room could have included a couple more puzzles but this is by no means a negative! I'd much rather have quality over quantity!

We also purchased a couple of the escape room in a box products, very excited to try. It's a great little extra to stock. Also very happy with the little prize you get for escaping!

Double date in Portsmouth, activity required... escape room? Found this one and a friend persuaded us to do the scary room! The place was easy to find as it was obviously signposted! We were welcomed and signed in easily using a tablet, choosing the team name Lima Juliet.

The brief was very informative and fit the story well. The room was well decorated and fit the theme. The puzzles were very well thought out but not impossible! There were some scary elements but they were both fun! We managed to solve the puzzles and escape with just over 6 minutes remaining!

Upon completion we had a photo taken in disguise, again fitting with the theme. These were emailed to us along with a code for 10% off and we were given a magnet with the team name and time for our escape.
