We held our son's 7th birthday party at Rock Up and it was amazing from start to finish. The staff in particular were simply fantastic - so helpful, so accommodating and so easygoing - no request was difficult. Our party all arrived at different times and many were slightly late due to Rushden Lakes being really crowded at the time but the staff really helped, allowing everyone to get started climbing together without any fuss. The lady on the front desk, Jenny, was an absolute gem - such a friendly and helpful person, really made our day. The party room was lovely - well located and clean. The food was lovely and right on time. And the climbing was amazing! Many of my son's friends didn't fancy trying the top slide so the lovely staff allowed my son and his friends who did want a turn to take several turns, which absolutely made their day. Just went to Rock Up yesterday and there was even more walls. Harnessing and Briefing I got two wristbands (red one for climbing and purple one for traverse).We did our harnesses for 5 minutes and the staff was very kind and helpful.We then had a safety briefing and some questions for the rest of the 30 minutes. Climbing After the safety briefing, we went into the arena and we climbed for 55 minutes. That was really fun; well, I tried nearly every single wall in here and I also tried the pole climb, which I didn’t get to the top because it was considered to be a hard challenge. I didn’t book for the Vertical Drop because it was very scary for me: I’m not used to vertical slides. For the rest of the 5 minutes, I went on the traverse challenge and by sure it was fun. We recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday at RockUp, and I can’t recommend it enough! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and so much fun.
