First visit, all being first time skaters. My oldest and I got the hang of it pretty quickly, younger 2 were getting there with the penguin aids, however my middle son was eventually put off altogether by the 3 stewards who were flying around the ice at speed. A small girl fell over and 1 of the stewards (who looked about 13) came to a very theatrical stop beside her, covering her face in ice and upsetting her even more. An older steward (at least 30) was flying around the ice, weaving in and out of people at speed. He went past my son at speed after he had given his penguin back and it knocked him completely. He also flew past my daughter weaving in-between her and another skater and nearly knocked them both over. They wouldn't have been able to assist anyone asking for help as they were going far too fast and too interested in displaying their own skills. No storage for belongings either. Everything needs to be left outside the rink near the cafe. Rink got very over crowded. However, staff were friendly and the cafe was nice. Would return if the stewards would act like staff there to assist rather than use the rink...

Skate hire available with a range of figure and hockey style skates (depending on size required and availability). There is an on site cafe, but the prices are quite high. Food quality is ok. Nothing to write home about but it's not bad. There is a parent and tots session at 10-11, then under 16's 11-1pm, followed by an open session 1-3pm. Parents can skate on the under 16's session, but only to assist their children. There are also a small number of penguins and a snowman for hire to...

Everyone's very friendly and we all help each other out. It's open to anybody who fancies a go as well so it doesn't matter whether you can skate or not, all abilities are welcome. David and Stacey were olympic skaters as well so we have some of the best coaches which helps. However if you don't want lessons there is also public skating sessions available which are normally posted on their Facebook page. All ages...
