Just Be Bistro — Restaurant in Scotland

Ist visit to Just Be. Visit Lockerbie fairly regularly. Usually go to Cafe 91 for Sunday breakfast but decided it was time for a change as they were giving poor service. My full Scottish was excellent/yummy and I was set to give a 10/10 and five star rating. My breakfasts guests were very pleased too! Everything was fine till I went to pay my bill and leave. This coincided with a large group of cyclists waiting for service at the till. I asked if I could settle my bill and the lady at the counter intimated that I would have to wait until she had served the queue of cyclists(numbering about 12 at that time.) All ordering in small numbers. I was horrified and asked if I should join the queue. She did seem to think it was unreasonable of me to expect her to break off from serving and take 30 secs out to take my card payment. The breakfast was fantastic. I absolutely loved my visit here. After a morning of birdwatching in freezing cold and foggy conditions, a thaw out was required. This little cafe was just in town close to a free to park car park, and opposite the road to the railway station. There were lots of people already using the venue, hence the decision to see if there was a free table. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and very swift. I opted for the Mac n Cheese with bacon and fries, with my fellow frozen birder, choosing the Scottish Breakfast. Both were superb. We couldn't manage a sweet. We will definitely be going here again when we're in the area. The facilities were fully accessible, clean, very warm, and well kept. There were baby changing facilities also. My cousin ordered a dish off the menu and when it finally arrived, half an hour later, it was not what he ordered. The waitress/supervisor did not listen to his order, although I am sure he told her more than once. There was an apology, but no attempt to offer anything else, not even a drink. He was however, a little agitated. I go to the establishment every now and then on my own and have always been happy. I have been twice with other people and neither were impressed, which is a shame.
