Played in the open today. A tough test of golf from the white tees. Some lovely holes and some great risk/ reward options. Last couple of holes the quality of fairways deteriorated, especially the 15th. Don’t know if due to location it can’t be cut but fairway looked like the rough. What really let the place down though was the clubhouse. Arrived at 11:50 with aim to get lunch before 1pm tee time. Ordered at 12:05ish, soup and sandwiches. Nothing fancy. Got to 12:30 nothing turned up, chased up the waitress who said she would check with the kitchen..never saw her check. At 12:40 we called time, paid for the soft drinks and left. The waitress said she would feedback the wait to the kitchen but not much use at that point. Said they were busy and struggling to cope. I get there would be a lot of visitors but the clubhouse tables were not all occupied and would have hoped they would have expected extra visitors. To save us going hungry, purchased oat bars from the pro shop. If planning on playing this course, eat before...

What an absolutely stunning golf course. All starts off with a friendly bunch of lads in the pro shop the lads couldn’t be more helpful and we’re bursting with knowledge about the course. You will not get a better contrast 9 holes anywhere else in Scotland with the front and back 9 playing completely Different. Big shout out to the greens team who are working in a extremely dry spell in Scotland And are still presenting the course to a championship course standard. Well done boys and girls and hopefully the gaffer gets you a pint in that lovely...

Course condition has improved dramatically - greens during these winter months have been the best I’ve ever known. True test of links golf at Newburgh and we’re definitely moving in the right direction after a few turbulent years. Looking forward to our new caterer coming on board too in April. Would recommend you try out both the course and clubhouse, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed - maybe even consider membership where you can get golf nigh on 12 months of the year and participate in a full fixture list across our Ladies, Gents &...

Beautiful course, enough so that it will possibly be my next home course! Breathtaking views to the dunes, sea, and estuary. Greens are fast, challenging, and very well kept. Fairways undulate with bumps and mounds, as well as twist and turn. Tees are above, below, and even blind to the fairways. Front 9 are hilltop with the wind definitely in play, back 9 demand attention to shot placement as the fairways are edged with thick grass, gorse, or water. Clubhouse is very nice with great food, amazing views, and a good pro shop. I'll definitely return. Soon!

Early morning at this great golf course on the Ythan Estuary. Stunning views and a great test over 18 holes of golf. A very enjoyable round of golf to be had no matter your handicap. Staff and members are very friendly and welcoming. The club house has fantastic views over the course and coast. The new caterers OGV TAPROOM have created a club house with a modern vibe with great food and drink. It is worth a visit for golf or food and drink in the club house.

Wonderful links golf course that starts in the hills for the front 9 and runs along the Ythan river estuary on the older back 9. We paid £75 each on a Sunday afternoon, booked online which was an easy process. The clubhouse has amazing views across the course and dunes, food and drink available. Well stocked pro shop, I hired a power caddy for £18 on the day. Highly recommended
