Winterfield Golf Club — Local services in Scotland

Our first visit to the Winterfield restaurant - we had booked the room for a birthday dinner.

Very lovely setting,great views across the Forth.

Staff were very welcoming and attentive.

We ordered from a set menu, starter was lentil soup, very enjoyable. Our table was mostly steak, which again everyone enjoyed.

I'm a wee bit fussy so had the macaroni cheese with chips. I didn't have any reason to fuss..

Talking to the rest of the party it was a sentiment shared.

Toilet facilities were excellent (yes I'm going to mention the 'quilted' toiletg roll') as was the general decor.

The only negative was around disability access, the main entrance is quite steep with no hand rails, which for those who aren't so good walking it can be a real effort. I presume they have disabled access at another door, though this is not sign posted or visible from the main carpark.

Nor did I see disabled parking, thought they do have 2 electric car charging points.

Unfortunately the building doesn't appear to be dog friendly.

Overall a great evening with family and friends, good food and atmosphere, can't really ask for...

Whilst visiting North Berwick recently we found such a gem of a "holiday" golf course with Winterfield Gc.!. Don't be put off by the number of par 3s or it being only a par 65. It is a delightful golf course in fantastic condition and offering great value for money. The course is two loops of nine, divided by a drive way. The second nine plays along the most beautiful beach with views to die for. We found this a very friendly club, obviously very popular with members. Played 3 rounds here over a 2 week period last month. A great and under-rated course. It has recently been taken over by the Golf Club members rather than being Council owned and has new greenkeepers which is making a huge difference. Much more challenging than it looks and a really enjoyable back 9 in particular with unbeatable views. It was in great condition and I managed to get sunny weather each day.
