City Spice Indian Takeaway – A True Culinary Gem!
City Spice Indian Takeaway has completely transformed my idea of what takeaway can be! Every dish I’ve tried feels like it’s been crafted with passion, authenticity, and an incredible attention to flavor and quality. From the moment I placed my first order, it was clear I was in for a special experience.
I started with their butter chicken—a popular dish, yes, but City Spice took it to another level. The sauce was unbelievably smooth, rich, and bursting with that perfect blend of spices. The chicken itself was tender and perfectly cooked, full of smoky flavor from the tandoor. It felt like a restaurant-quality dish right at my own table.
I also ordered their lamb biryani, which was equally unforgettable. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rice was so fragrant and layered with complex spices that each bite felt like a new flavor discovery. You could truly taste the time and care that went into each ingredient. It was beautifully presented and came with a side of cool, creamy raita that balanced the spices so well.
One thing that stood out was their garlic naan—it was perfectly charred yet soft, with just the right amount of garlic. Often, naan from takeaways can be a bit greasy or chewy, but City Spice’s naan is the real deal, as if it came right from a tandoor to my table. It was an ideal companion to the curries.
The service was exceptional. From the friendly phone conversation confirming my order and spice preference to the careful packaging, it was clear that City Spice prioritizes their customers’ experience. Delivery was right on time, and the food arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully packaged. No spills, no mess—just pure perfection.
City Spice is now my go-to for Indian food, and it’s no exaggeration to say that it’s one of the best takeaways I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a truly exceptional meal full of authentic flavors and made with care, don’t hesitate to give them a try. This is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise—it’s rare to find takeaway food this good!
Whether it’s a casual dinner or a treat-yourself night, City Spice makes every meal feel special. Highly, highly...
Read moreI recently ordered from city spice an authentic Indian takeaway that promises rich flavors and classic dishes. The experience was a delightful culinary journey, so here's a breakdown of the meal:
Packaging & Delivery: The food arrived promptly and well-packaged. The containers were sturdy, and everything was kept warm, with sauces and curries neatly sealed to avoid spills. The delivery driver was friendly and ensured everything was handled with care.
Starters: I began with the VegSamosas—crispy golden pockets filled with spiced potatoes and peas. They were perfectly fried, with a satisfying crunch, and paired well with the tangy tamarind chutney. The Onion Bhaji was equally impressive, light yet flavorful, and not greasy. It had a nice balance of spices, with the onions perfectly tender inside.
Main Course: For the main course, I went with the classic Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh. The chicken in the tikka masala was tender, marinated well, and grilled to perfection before being smothered in a creamy, tomato-based sauce with just the right amount of sweetness and spices. The Rogan Josh was a standout—the lamb was tender, falling apart with a rich, aromatic gravy that had a subtle heat, complemented by earthy flavors from the spices.
Sides & Accompaniments: The Garlic Naan was soft, slightly chewy, and fragrant with garlic. It was perfect for sopping up the curry sauces. The Basmati Rice was fluffy and aromatic, a simple but essential complement to the rich flavors of the main dishes. The Aloo Gobi (potato and cauliflower curry) was delicious, with the vegetables cooked just right and the curry having a mild, aromatic spice that paired well with the heavier dishes.
Overall: The meal was satisfying and delicious, with a perfect blend of spices in each dish. The portions were generous, and the quality was excellent, making this takeaway a great option for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors. I’d highly recommend CITY SPICE for anyone in the mood for a comforting, flavorful...
Read moreMe and my hubby ordered a couple of kebabs toninght for our tea because we have really enjoyed them from City Spice in the past. Previously weve ordered currys on a regular basis too but for the last few times weve been really really disappointed, and tonight our kebabs were not up to the usual quality, the naan bread they were on were tough and chewy, not fresh like they normally are and my chicken tasted like it was covered in sage or a similar herb! The chips were cold and my hubbies kebab meat was cold. We have been big fans of City Spice in the past and recommended it to our friends and family, the customer service is always excellent and the food in previous years has been excellent but the past few months we have been let down by our food purchases (whats going on? Do yhey have a different chef, or have they cut back on the quality of the ingredients they use?) The curries we ordered last time was lacking in depth of flavour and they both tasted the same even though hubby and myself ordered totally different curries. Also our curries before this was not of the usual standard but we have kept ordering from here because we thought the quality if our takeaways would improve but they havent..Sorry City Spice we feel really let down, I dont think we will be ordering from you guys again unless things improve....
