Intake Fish & Chips — Local services in Sheffield

Used to be a good chippy used regular and the portion sizes have dwindled and the prices are higher. Especially for a kebab expensive and inconsistent portion sizes for near on £10. City spice down the road is much cheaper and higher quality. Would be improved if the chips were cooked in beef dripping and they often look like they are barely cooked. Such a let down as it used to be good and has degraded over the years. Staff sometimes friendly but sometimes can be rude. Such a shame to see this chip shop go down hill over the years to the point now that i will not be returning. The portion sizes are tiny in relation to the cost regardless of everything increasing in price this seems like a rip off. Food quality has drastically declined with the portion sizes. Absolutely horrendous service when me and mum called in earlier this evening. The woman working behind the counter ( older woman with very short hair ) we were asked what we wanted in a very rude manner. When we asked for fish bites we were given a dirty look and she rudely said.. you would order those wouldn't you because I have to cook them to order. My mum was left feeling uncomfortable so ended up not having anything to eat.. the rest of the food was very poor compared to the usual and after the attitude of your staff you've lost a family of regular customers who have been coming to you for years. I've been using intake chips & fish shop for many years now, I've always had a great experience. Until today 27th March 2024, I ordered three kebabs and two large chips with three large curry sauce. The kebabs had hardly any meat in them once I got home, priced at nearly £8 each that was terrible. The chips didn't taste right too.
