I had my Saturday evening dinner from here. I usually go to Akbars in the city centre to take out for a collection and have been for a number of years.
I have heard a lot of about curry but and was recommended by friends to try out. I didnāt expect it to be anything special but just a normal Indian takeaway.
I called up and ordered and went to collect my order. First of all the location is great with parking on site. Second of all the design of the store is absolutely phenomenal and looks beautiful from inside to outside. Third of all the staff are great and well mannered with high English skills which lacks with a lot of Indian food outlets which leads to the order being wrong. Fourth of all the food was ready on time and took it home.
When we reached home the food was still piping hot, the packaging is nice and tidy. The quality of the food is out of this world. From the tastiness, the crunch and tenderness on the starters was to perfection. The main lamb handi we ordered and a veg dish was amazing. The herbs and spices used are a high standard. The oil for the curry inside was not greasy and was pleasant. The breads you can taste the freshness from this. The sauces was well blended being able to taste the ingredients used in this. Everything was on point and I canāt fault this at all.
This will be my local Indian every Saturday evening and a great addition added to bradway. I would have liked a dine option too, as once a month we do dine in but but I canāt fault it all.
Thankyou for filling my tastebuds and a great excellent customer service. I wish you all the best in business and will be returning next Saturday.

Read moreIt's a very busy and very popular place right now - maybe because it only been open 3 weeks and everyone is trying it out? Anyway, 45 minutes for collection which isn't bad really considering it was christmas eve 2024. So onto the food then... chicken madras, tarka daal and a couple of chapatis. Madras was good, nice flavour and a good kick of spice. Tarka daal was a surprise, chickpea rather than your usual red split lentils and dryer. I like my lentil slightly wetter usually but this was amazing, had a lovely sweet taste to it with plenty of garlic as well. Chappatis slightly larger than other takeaways and as you'd expect. £15, I would say that's a bit pricey but I'm a yorkshireman and still living in the 2000s :-)!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest Indian takeaway Iāve had. Excellent pickle tray selection, decent portions of pickles which is a pet hate of mine.
Crisp poppadoms.
Starter of mixed kebab. Excellent quality.
Curry, just right, not too much oil and good quality meat.
Long delivery time, but only as itās new and popular.
If I had any complaints it would be Bhaji could have a little more spice / flavour and I always think curry in a plastic tub makes it feel like a Chineseā¦
Itās obvious that they also run restaurants from their pickle tray selection, which Iāve already mentioned but did I mention I like pickle trays.
Pickle tray.
