Tunstall Hills — Local services in Sunderland

Maybe this is not the most beautiful place in the world, but the views are very beautiful and it seems to me that it is one of the biggest peaks in Sunderland. You can see the whole are, including the view of the sea, Northern Spire Bridge, Penshaw Monument...

Parking in the housing estate, near some garages, then there is a side path across a field which takes you on to the Prow. Short and sharp hill to climb up but fantastic views across Wearside but also views up and down the coast. A really cracking...

Great walks & views, highest in Sunderland. Came here as a child & then brought daughter's to watch fireworks, no1 else used to be there haha but now others followed suit & can't get parked anymore 😄 Still lovely place...
