Read moreAVOID. We wanted a table for four for originally 14:30 for a birthday celebration, but couldn’t get one until 15:00 for Sunday lunch, and it was actually asked on the phone was other menus available apart from Sunday lunch as one of our party didn’t want a Sunday lunch. So we turned up at approx 15:00 to be told to wait in the bar for 10 mins, then asked if we could wait another 15 mins, even though a table was clearly available, we said we didn’t really want to wait longer and got seated.... to be then told when ordering they’d stopped doing Sunday lunches (even though we saw them coming out of the kitchen still), the waitress ran over to the manager when we told her we had booked for this. We placed our various choices from the menu and were fully satisfied with quantity and quality of our meals.£125 for 9 meals and included 3 desserts for those with the larger appetite. Will certainly return when in the area as we had travelled from Darlington. For those on the square...
