My family and I arrived at 'The Triangle' for a much anticipated swimmage experience. My God. Youngest son kicked off proceedings by forgetting his swimming trunks. So we were forced to spend £300 or thereabouts on a truly moribund pair from the 'shop' (possibly some kind of heist). Then we went to the 'changing area' - this looked like a budget attempt to recreate the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan. Cack and detritus was everywhere. Awful. #awful. Into the swimming zone we went. Flumes and slides- shut. Lane swimming - blocked off. Jacuzzi- same temperature as Grimsby in January - and NO EFFERVESCENCE. 7 other patrons tried to brave the ordeal that soon became like a trial in Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins. One chap presumably on the verge of hypoxia started to rant about the moon, and that we should leave 'before it's too late'. After 35 mins of dreadfulness we escaped by creating a diversion using armbands and noodles and changed in the filthy filth of the changing rooms. And drove home in shocked silence. We shall never return. I advise you to do the same.

Never in my life have i experienced the utter euphoria mutch like playing a game of the best sport in the world (paddle) in this allmightly lesiure center. The facilities were second to none with the sheer quality of glass bieng an issue as i often mistook it for clear air. I took my whole family on an excursion to beautiful asylum to seek refuge from the hell that is not playing paddel. If possible i would live here. My son was only six when he found out his true passion of the paddle. The way the ball bounced as the sun shined on glisening sheets of glass brought more than a tear to my eye but floods of tears (and sweat ;) ). My greatest thanks go out to not only the people who guard this sancutuary but the beautiful sport itself for all it has done to me and my familys life. 3/10 allways room for improvment ;)

Be careful of the racist employees. It is not nice being treated to with your children present and have to listen to staff telling you the things they do. I'm sure it's not all staff, just the ones we experience last week. Need to register, always fully booked. I bet it won't be long before they start putting their prices up due to limiting people going. The site has so many no shows they are now changing a fine of £2.50 per booking to £2.50 per person no show. Wish management would go back to the old system because so many people are now not able to go. May be good for the few that can but this not an exclusive leisure centre although it seems they're trying to be.

First time at this leisure centre for splash and slide. Please accept this as constructive criticism. I attended during ā€œhalf termā€ so it was unbelievably busy to the point of rammed!

Booked in advance which was easy enough. Checked in at reception where the friendly receptionist gave us a purple band. One for me and my child. Walked through to changing rooms which were very dirty (mud all over floor) but nothing that regular cleaning could not solve. There were 3 attendants with mops and buckets chatting leisurely in the corner.

When we got to splash and slide area it was so crowded it was difficult to find a space to actually stand let alone swim/play. You were sort of herded around the pool by the crowds. There was a card on a barrier above saying purple. As there were loads of people in the area with different colour bands I assumed other colours would be leaving soon. When more and more people entered but no-one left I asked one of the attendants if the other colours would leave soon but he said that ā€œno! There is always many colours of bands in the pool. It has a capacity of 193 and there are 130 in thereā€. My question is how does he know that when there is no monitoring who goes in and out and why put a purple card on the window which was there when I went in and when I went out even though I was over my time due to struggling to get through crowds. The receptionist had advised me of the time I was allowed so none of what he said made any sense.

There were many different demographics in the pool I.e older people, disabled people, babies, toddlers young adults. In particular a lot of very enthusiastic teenagers who pushed, kicked, and continuously fell on top of vulnerable people as they threw each other into the pool due to lack of space for anyone to move out of the way.

3 young male adults were very lively throwing a small ball (which are on sale in the foyer). They were throwing it very hard at each other but it kept missing and hitting other people. It hit my child very hard on her nose causing her pain and redness. She was in tears. I also saw them hit a young boy. They clearly didn’t mean to do it. There just wasn’t enough room for this type of game. 3 tall teenage girls pushed and kicked me hard as they aggressively chased each other around a very crowded pool and I witnessed a disabled child being carried around the outside pool being shoved against the wall by teenage boys as they enthusiastically chased each other. Again nothing was meant I’m sure and I’m all for having fun but it is unavoidable if the number of people in the pool is not controlled. In my opinion there is an accident waiting to happen here.

There appeared to be plenty of ā€œlifeguardsā€ around and the watched on with complete apathy! I guess they must be used to it!

Surely there is a better way to control numbers by the colour coded bands or less time in the pool for certain colours!

Leaving the pool and returning to the changing rooms the Floor was still muddy and the 3 attendants with their mops and buckets were still chatting.

We had intended to have a drink and a snack in the restaurant but it was a mess with a lot of empty tables not cleared. There seemed to be plenty of attendants but few actually doing anything.

It’s a nice pool with plenty of different avenues but the management/control lets it down badly. A great shame! I know it would have been a much better experience if the place had been managed correctly the ā€œit’s half term excuseā€ is not an acceptable excuse.

I haven’t given up yet. I’m going to try a swim in the main pool next week and see if it’s any better and ā€œit’s not half...

Never ever again, travelled all the way from Hastings to come here as we really wanted to try it out and it looked and sounded amazing online, 3 adults 3 children and a baby, checked in at reception (booked online) and went to get changed, several of the family changing rooms were being used by one adults and several more were being used as storage, so had to wait to even get changed which wasn’t fun, walked towards showers after changing and loading the lockers to then see a sign that there was no hot water the showers were ice cold so instantly unhappy that we couldn’t shower upon entering the pool or shower off the chlorine after a swim especially with a baby, entered the pool and it was freezing we were shivering and my baby who normally loves swimming (water baby) clung to me shivering and her lips were purple/blue, so after 10 mins of trying to play and warm up myself my mum and baby decided to leave the pool, couldn’t shower to warm up, was so disappointed, the other children and my partner lasted another half an hour but they also kept complaining they were cold, waited at reception to complain but a few people in front of us were also doing the same and we didn’t want to waste anymore time. Will never try this again, a long way to go, such a waste of money and such a huge disappointment. Would have been nice for reception to warn us about the showers and cold pool before we went in and at least give us an opportunity to book another day or not swim,...

The Triangle is in the latter stages of a £4 million refurb which includes a complete downstairs / lobby revamp with new reception, 13 climbing walls, a Costa cafe, a new work out studio and new leisure pool. The new gym is now upstairs and is much bigger and better. The equipment is better laid out and includes more weights, a new TRX/Crossfit frame, a running/tyre track and circuits/HIIT area. There's now a nice view over the football pitch/courts/outdoor pool from the weights/cardio area. They now have more cross over cable machines as well as a dedicated dead lifting floor with several different weight bars. The gym does get busy at peak times but this is the same for all places and is a mark of its popularity. The leisure pool is being refurbished which means its actually a lot quieter at the moment which is nice at weekends especially. When the pool is finished it appears to have a new area for the kids as well as refurbished flumes and general improvements to the decor and maintenance. My membership includes 2 weeks advance booking for classes and courts, and you can also take free guests into your court. The app usually works OK, bar the occasional IT glitch/slow Internet connection. No major cleanliness issues, it must be hard to keep on top of such a large centre when it gets rammed at weekends. Prices are good considering all the membership includes, although I hear there are various membership options available for juniors, seniors,...
