Greenvale Leisure Centre — Local services in Townparks of Magherafelt

Lovely facility with excellent pools and the added bonus of a spa and wellness area with Steam Room, Sauna, Showers and Heated Loungers. The price to access the pool and spa area combined is very reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The changing rooms are clean and all lockers seem to work well. The pool facilities are also clean and well maintained. My only slight criticism is that the whole large pool was put to lane swimming only, meaning that if you wished to just relax in the water you needed to use the smaller shallower pool. very good complex UNFORTUNATELY when paying to go into the pool we constantly find the middle pool which we use is sectioned into 4 areas of learning on many occasions with only one learner per section ... they may when one is finished open a section to other swimmers so you have about 15 to 20 people in one section and 3 in others ... the 3 learners paid £15 total the 20 others t least £60 ... come on !!!! granted you have to learn some time but not a quater of a pool to one learner ...also if we were told before paying there was learning going on ...we...

Hygiene here is absolutely shocking - I would honestly rate it 0 if I could. The changing rooms are filthy, clearly not cleaned for months, and the dirt build-up is disgusting. On top of that, they are tiny, making it extremely difficult to manage with children.

The policy also makes no sense: people from outside are allowed to walk straight through the changing rooms in outdoor shoes and even walk around the pool area in them, which is extremely unhygienic. The pool water itself is far from clean and leaves a lot...
