I've been donating since the early days when the organization was run out the wonderful founders' carport.
As ever, HGRM is a great organization. However, I would suggest bringing donations during the week when possible. Saturdays are a bit crazy. And they're sometimes overstaffed, so when you arrive, you're swarmed with highly energetic volunteers looking for something to do. It gets a bit too frantic, and needlessly so. With a volunteer organization, overstaffing is as big a concern as understaffing. As the arriving donor, you can lose control of the situation very quickly. If you know how to move furniture properly and the vols don't, this can be an issue. I would respectfully suggest working on the overstaffing and making sure all vols have a basic understanding of how to handle and move the larger items...
