Walgreens — Local services in Acton

This pharmacy has restored my faith in the fact there are still some out there that know what they are doing, are good at what they do, and at the same time, can still treat patients like actual human beings! Over the past year and a half, due to staff and drug shortages, I have been forced to go to pharmacies as far as 30 min from home to get the necessary medications each month. For someone who is disabled and has limited mobility from time to time, this is not ideal. But then to be treated as if I am less of a human because of those needs has been so degrading and extremely stressful.

A few months ago I was fortunate enough to call this pharmacy looking for one of the medications I needed and had the most pleasant interaction with a pharmacist then I had in over a year. Since then, I have begun to transfer my other medications to the same location and each time I have not had any issues or felt like I was being treated differently. With the uncertainty looming over what pharmacies will continue to operate, and what that will eventually look like, knowing I can go to this one and continue to not have unpleasant experiences is such a relief! So thank you to the pharmacy staff for continuing to provide quality care to the patients you serve even through all the chaos of COVID, staffing issues and drug shortages. It depends on who you get at the pharmacy. I need a certain manufacturer of a medication and they have been ordering it for me. I called to check on it and the person who answered told me that she remembered speaking with me and that they cannot order other manufacturers and can only supply what is on the shelf.
