A great experience with Rapid Radios Customer Service. I ordered a 2 pack of Rapid Radios as I have seen all the ads and thought I needed to try these things out. I have a ranch and use radios but very hilly terrain so line of sight is not so good for me. My radios came in and for some reason I could not get them to work. I got frustrated as my wife can attest and decided to call customer service. It was the week-end so email only thinking I will get a response Monday. Nope, I got a reply shortly from Erika. She was able to calm me down as she noticed my frustration and let me know it was nothing I had done wrong. She told me she had reset the radios and to try again. Still nothing. She tried more things and could not get them to talk to each other. She was trying things on Sunday and felt she had it. Said for some reason my email was not associated to one of the radios and that should do it. It did not and I asked if I could return for two new radios. I immediately got an email stating two new radios were on the way and were to be tested prior to shipment. I was satisfied. I was happy!
Now, I have confidence that the RapidRadios will work as advertised and that I just got the one bad apple. (seems to always happen to me). Anyway, I can't wait to find out how they perform, but more importantly is their Customer Service. If you want repeat business, Customer Service is how you will get it. In this day and age, it's probably the MOST important part of any successful business. I know it was for the manufacturing business I worked for and ran for 28 yrs.

Read moreGreat customer service by Kerra. I needed my radios urgently for a road trip. I expressed my concerns via email and Kerra called me the next day to say my radios had been dispatched. The radios were already programmed when I received them. It’s just a case of switching on then you can talk. I have to say that they are crystal clear, better than my iPhone. I called my wife from 300 miles away and the reception was excellent, admittedly I am in a good cell phone reception area, so I will update this review once I have managed to test further in a spotty signal area. But so far I am very pleased with the reception and ease of use.
Update I have now used these radios for three weeks on a road trip from North Carolina to California. They have performed great, exceptional clarity and ease of use. I have to note that I have had one day of NO communication the reason being I am at Joshua Tree Nat PK , which has little or no cell service whatsoever. The radios would not communicate, reason being none of the three major carriers, Verizon, AT&T or T Mobile have any service in the park. Therefore the radios had no cell signal to pick up. Not the radios fault just limits on available signal. Therefore to sum up. These are great for everyday use across thousands of miles, But do not rely on these radios for critical situations such as remote hiking, mountain climbing etc where there could be NO cell service. Therefore the only option for those situations in my opinion would be a...

"There are no monthly fees, ever." Truth... On the 2nd year you have to pay $50 per radio.
It leads you to believe that these radios are great in the event of a catastrophy and that they will work regardless. Truth... These are Internet radios and require cell towers that operate 4g. In the event of a major power loss, cell towers will continue to operate on back up generators/ large capacity batteries etc for a period of time. However, after the back up has depleted the tower will not be functional, thus in a power outage these radios will have a limited time before they are useless. Even if power is not the issue, cellular systems could still be. The only true radios to be off the grid are radios that operate off of RF radio to radio without the assistance of anything in between.
The company steers you to believe the radios are made in America. While technically they are assembled in America, however with Chinese components. Misleading... who cares where something is assembled, it's what's inside!
I was about to buy these, as all reviews say they work well, but decided not to because of the company's dishonesty in advertising. To each there own, but...
