NorthStar Foods Retail Storefront — Local services in Addison Township

Terrible, terrible experience. We used to come here a lot, always buying stuff for friends and family as we live over 20 miles away. Spending literally hundreds of $$ each time. Today my wife and I went there again. She send me screenshot of shopping list so we can spread out and do our shopping faster. Within a couple minutes I got approached by some guy who started thrusting me with his elbow and yelling that there is no photography allowed inside. I have tried to explain him that I am only reading my shopping list of my phone but he wouldn't listen raising his voice and using vulgar language. After I put my phone away within another minute he approached my wife in the other side of the store and did the same thing (she was reading her shopping list of the phone as well), he grabbed her by her coat, tried to snatch her phone and wouldn't listen to her explanations. Started yelling that her and I are "working together as spies". When other clients backed us up he said that he is the owner and there is a sign not to use your phones inside. I checked the sign and it says no photography and no video recording (please see picture of the exact sign found on the internet) nothing about using the phones.He acted like maniac mixing Polish and English languages calling us different "names" and threatening to call police on us. I absolutely love this place. Top-notch quality food very reasonable prices and excellent customer service. Everyone here that I have dealt with has been a pleasure especially Peter who has gone above and beyond to help satisfy a customer with special orders for me to send down to Florida for my father. He did such a great job my father brags about having a special connection to get the best pork products anywhere. There is nothing that comes even remotely close around him in Florida to the Quality of what we send down from Northstar. Arrogant salesman started talking in her native language. I wasn't sure if she was greeting or informing me what the total was at checkout. When I started speaking in my native language and asked her what she was saying, she looked at me puzzled. In my understandings we are both conducting business in an english speaking country, and neither polish nor where I'm from is not official spoken language in the United States. Please hire staff members who can help your customers with their smooth shopping.
