The doctors just took her back for a chest x-ray. Her heart, and lungs sound surprisingly clear. And her vitals checked out great. 👍🏻 They said she has some inflammation around her shoulders, they said this isn’t anything we did specifically, but typically happens with disabled pets because they have to be moved, turned, etc. She has lost some weight since our last vet visit. This is because of her muscle mass in her front. Which is expected. The vet says the same thing happens to quadriplegic humans. So our concerns are this: She does have a fatty lump on her mouth the vet is worried about because sometimes those can spread to their chest. Also, the other concern is that whatever she has, is spreading forward. The vet says she’s still alert and since she ate, that that is all good signs! They want to put her on some meds for pain, do X-rays, and test her blood + thyroid. Another concern is maybe some pneumonia. These vets are very very sweet. We were scared going to a brand new vet since we are out of town. (It’s hard going to new vets when you have a senior disabled pet because people can be judgmental.) But no one at this vet has been judgmental at all. In fact quite the opposite and full of love. One lady even let me hold her basset hound pup while I was having a mental breakdown. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. Kenny and I have not stopped sobbing since this morning. More updates to come. We love you all.

2024 review Priscilla, Swan and all the staff at Aiken Animal Hospital are amazing! They love my 14 year old toy poodle Bailey. He's got lots of health issues, so unfortunately we visit frequently. They really go out of their way to make sure we can get in when we have an urgent need. And they just love on Bailey. Dr. Oliver makes it so easy to communicate with her as he has pancreatitis, a chronic condition. We're learning how to recognize and treat it early, avoiding a full blown out episode. I can not say enough about the staff at AAH! We love you! Thank you! 2017 review Dr. White is an amazing caring doctor. We first met Dr. White iIn an emergency visitforg our 7 year old toy poodle, Bailey, who had chronic ear infections to the point there was discussion about removing his tubes, and chronic allergies which left him almost bald with terrible hotspots. We had taken Bailey to countless vets and had spent huge amounts of money with no good outcome. Dr. White in 15 minutes diagnosed and recommend a treatment that has been life changing. Dr. White is extremely competent, and clearly loves our dogs. I can highly recommend her and the friendly staff at Aiken Animal Hospital.

I went in and they told me it would be 650$ at max and when I was checking out they said it was 820$ to try and tell me my dog was dying and needed to go somewhere else I mean what a sry place they just lie and try and take your money they have 0 compassion and literally give u half ass info of what’s wrong with your pet I’m a disabled vet and my support dog is sick and all they wanna do is say well he’s gonna die u need to pay 8k to get a better ultrasound, I mean what did u do? I mean when I went in my pup was sick and he was worse when he came out if he passes I will be suing this place for negligence they knew more than they were saying and acted like they were dumb and my pup was messed up when he left they wouldn’t tell me what they gave him to make like that. after paying 830$ just to tell me he needs to eat and take meds and u think he has a mass on his abs but he was totally fine the day before they act like a tumor can triple in 8 hrs. they know better and im not stupid if my English bulldog passes u will have problems for malpractices. My pet Bruce did pass 4 days b4 Christmas and all they had to do was tell me there was no hope but they kept pushing a credit card and trying to make me apply for more money so they could have more money from me all I got from them for 900$ was a Iv and antibiotics that did nothing for him it breaks my heart but they could have just been real but it just seemed like a money grab they knew he was gonna pass and that’s what they should have told me but no here’s a app for a credit card get this and we can help. That’s was the saddest thing I’ve ever heard and help that’s not help they did a ultrasound and gave him fluids and said they don’t know if he will live of die so my service dog just passed and was in pain they didn’t even offer him pain meds when they knew he was dying u would think a vet would have more compassion anyways r.i.p. Bruce nettles passed 3 days b4 Christmas and now I’m the bad guy they haven’t seen a bad guy yet . let me add to this review now they have banned me from this hospital from having another dog taken care of they are petty and a$$ holes about it even though they were in the wrong oh they are so high and mighty but they can’t make up for there wrong doings if you take your dog here don’t trust them and don’t except to be able to come back they put in a nice face and act like they care but they have shunned me and my pets witch I don’t think is legal so I definitely will be getting a attorney to fight this crap I hope they know who they have messed with I don’t back down and I don’t care how much money it cost me I will even be going to the news outlets and let them know my story how they have treated a disabled vet and his service dog man I hope your ready for this smoke bc it’s not just gonna go away I promise u that. You should have just tucked your tails and helped me out after that charades you played with And how you used my sadness to take Money from me. I got in with another vet don’t worry I’m taken care of and my new dog is too but I’m glad I don’t have to deal with u petty a holes anymore I shouldn’t have even gave u a second chance but I promise u u will see yourself on the news here very soon bc I have a reporter dying to break this story of how you have treated and took from a disabled vet. Sleep well I promise I will come for u guys for ever thing...

Fist visit. Nice staff. Big waiting area, good inventory, standard prices. The one thing I was extremely disappointed about is a fee for "Client Origination Fee" that was $20 that I was never told about! I was hoping to meet w/the main vet Dr.Brown but saw Dr. Young instead. He wasn't happy when I told him about feeding my animal raw & is of school of thought to feed other brands, non raw. I disagreed & will keep him on raw. So if you want support in that area, you won't get it. He didn't bother to inquire about what ingredients & nutrients or brand I chose but just a blatant dislike of all raw w/the assumption all raw doesn't provide necessary ingredients. This decision wasn't made lightly & he's not my first one I've put & kept on raw. My 5 almost 6 month old had a great checkup; healthy in all aspects. I appreciated the fact that his assistant, Maggie, informed me that when doing microchip, that the needle is very big & quite uncomfortable so since he's going to be under while getting fixed, she suggested doing it then. Thanks for that! I'd like to see Dr.Brown next time & will request her. That was my fault for not requesting for first visit. Overall fine but doesn't stand out from others I've taken my cats to. Will be calling the office to find out what that...
